AutoStitch is the world's first fully automatic 2D image stitcher. Capable of stitching full view panoramas without any user input whatsoever, AutoStitch is a breakthrough technology for panoramic photography, VR and visualisation applications.

AutoStitch is built using cutting edge research from the AI lab at UBC, but it's incredibly simple to use! Just select a set of photos, and AutoStitch does the rest: digital photos in, panoramas out. Try the free demo (for Windows):

Nice stitcher free demo

I use photostich, works well, and it's almost fully automatic too, I like having a minimum of control over what it makes... maybe I'll try this one someday, it's not like I'm making tons of panoramas anyway.

Why didn't you put this in the free software thread? :|

Thanks for sharing though :)

Oh sorry didn't know there was a thread for it...

Nah I don't make them alot either, but if I go on holiday in the mountains this is a cool prog to make some nice panoramas.

I used Panorama Maker as a fast and simple stitching program, but this one makes much better results. Really nice

:D

Mine has just finished 12000x12000 pixels and it's really nice:D

Gives a whole new perspective to photography, and who said we need 10MP cameras if you can make 30pics and have the same as a 20MP camera

try panorama factory to, I like that the most. You can do 360? pic to ;)

 for panorama factory, I just tried it.
The results for one stitch were horrible (my backyard, all my cars were on the final pic about 20 times). Also it hung while resizing on the first attempt for that one. The other thing I tested was a 360 of my livingroom consisting of 147 photos. It took ages and finally crashed with an out of memory error (And I have 1 GB).

AutoStitch had no problem with either of these 2 projects :)

Edit: Btw my backyard using AutoStitch, and thanks for the tip Josty! :)

That's a badass Niva you have there

Panorama factory gives you more freedom for difficult projects, you can adjust some things manually. And autostitch is the best fully automatic panorama maker I've seen so far.

Hehe yea.. It's so badass I burnt the clutch twice with these tires and now both the clutch and brakes are out of function because the systems are leaking.. Great car

I used the wizard in Panorama factory and used all the right settings for my camera. Other than that I didnt really get any options.. Without the wizard I didnt understand anything :p
We are talking about PF from http://www.panoramafactory.com/ right?

wow... sng, thats alot of volvo's there  , is that a 242GT by anychance under the shade or is it the car in your avatar?

I wish it was a 242GT but they are very rare even here :)
But yes it's the car in my avatar, a -75 244DL. I love the 200 series as you can see ;)

This thread is getting kinda offtopic now isn't it ;)
Anyway to answer any questions about the cars and snowmobile, here comes:
The snowmobile is a -72 Skidoo alpine with 440 engine. Here's a better pic: http://www.radeonx.com/shit/alpine.jpg
The offroader is a -80 Niva with a somewhat trimmed 1.6l engine and Volvo "Valp" C202 tires.
The wagon is an -82 Volvo 245 GLS, quite an unusual model actually (very few 245 GLS were produced, 244 GLS is more common) but unfortunately the engine is dead.
The thing behind the wagon is a 244DL -81 with GL engine and gearbox, so 2.3l and 5 gears. Its pretty rusty so I'm going to strip it and turn it into a rally car :)
The one stand beside the house is my daily driver, an -83 244DL. It has some nice extras like Volvos R-Sport seats, alarm, central locking, and some extra gauges. Almost no rust on that one.
Then the one in the crappy carport is a -75 244DL, the car in my avatar. It has very little rust, and nothing in vital parts. I've actually been driving ~180 kph in that car and then I ran out of courage but the engine wanted more. Once I put in a new gearbox (right now it only has 4 gears) and lowered the car a bit I'm gonna give it another go ;)

Than you did something wrong. I had 10 pics of my room, and it did a very great 360 view. So....

How is it my fault that the program crashes? I used the wizard and there's nothing I could possibly do wrong there :)
But I'll give it another go without the wizard.
