I simply cannot take a man seriously when he pronounces "chassis" like that...
 
You pronounce it "shassy", as it comes from French. The "ch" shouldn't sounds like it does in "chips" ;)

Hud is pronounced differently than hood.

Early cars would actually have "trunks" on them like people used to have at the foot of their beds. Petrol is also known as gasoline, gas for short. Hood is used to cover ones head, bonnets are used by women. Tim Allen said it best "You British make cars so girly." Of course it was an American who probably made the car bra.
