Apparently although i pretty sure it wasn't a works effort though


EDIT: and i would be wrong it had it's works debut at the 1971 Monte Carlo rally however it appears that it was only rallied for one year by the factory. I assume the rest of those pictures came from privateers.

Yup originally i was going to say it was an E39 M5 with the plenum taken off but the stacks are all wrong and it isn't the Dinan induction kit either. Honestly i can't even really make out the motor however given that it is European Car that pretty much means either BMW or Audi (maybe Jag).

Oh, the wide bodied two-door Impreza is by far the best looking rally car from late 90s. I miss those times.
 
Am I the only one thinking the Legacys are more awesome than the Imprezas in that?



I think it might just be that Impreza rally cars are everywhere.
