I'd be VERY surprised if they can actually charge you with something. What are they going to put on the ticket "being nice to other road users"? "Warning people to not spend money excessively"?

Sure they can pull you over and give you a warning or some shit, but AFAIK that's it.

Yess they can, they will and they do , I even got one of those early in my driving years "unauthorised use of highbeams" ......and its actualy in the law that you cant use your highbeams during the day, at night on a deserted road you can.....in theory, but only if nobody else is around.

Their Belgian cops remember? warning people of a speedtrap = directly cutting into the money they are making to buy shiny new motorhomes....
