Awesome Thread... [Automotive Edition]

And it's all packaged in the coolest body Mercedes-Benz makes nowadays.

It would only be beaten by a bespoke build of W124 or W201, made out of virgin parts and stuffed full of Brabus badassery.

Doesn't even have to have any Brabus kit, that thing is badass as is.

I love the AMG Hammer. It's so subtle, since it doesn't have a huge wing or huge arches.

This is quite awesome in my opinion

Didn't they use that on Mythbusters to destroy a barrel? Looks like the same location too.

Why exactly can't they show touring car in the US? That was AWESOME. I like NASCAR as much as the next redneck but that is just superb fun to watch and had to have been superb fun to be doing. Throwing it sideways off of every turn, gaining 4 seconds in 4-5 laps (was too busy watching to count). Fits this thread perfectly!

Now I need to go find more clips, and something to contribute.

They don't because the NASCRASH behemoth basically bought out Speed Channel and made it NASCAR Channel 2. Instead of showing racing from around the world, they show a billion NASCRASH shows, some random car resto shows that aren't very good, and some paid advertisements disguised as shows.

NASCAR is worried that some other form of racing might displace it, so they ruthlessly suppress any series that looks like it's going to be wildly popular.

Does this mean they will no longer show Formula 1?

News Corp. bought out Speedvision with the intent of turning it into a 24 hour NASCAR channel, and getting exclusive television rights for all NASCAR competition. A group of several network affiliates, however, threatened to sue the parent company if live Winston Cup race coverage moved from the network to the cable channel, newly rebranded as Speed TV.

You should be upset at the networks for not allowing all NASCAR related programing to be put onto a single (easily avoidable) channel, which would have freed up a combined 250 hours per year of weekend scheduling from races alone. :p
