Cancelling out the force of the other car completely works only if the two cars are exactly the same and go the same speed. If they are the same, but go with different speeds one has a bigger momentum than the other, thus the force on the slower car should be bigger.

That's the theory, but I'm not able to proof it for myself, so someone else has to do it. ;)

You've missed the point completely you lot, watch the video again. The impact in a crash between identical cars going 30mph and 70mph, would be the same as the 50mph crashes as it averages at 50, momentum doesn't come into it it's all about mass.

1st test car goes 50mph wall goes 0mph, so two identical cars slamming into each other at any speed (as long as the average between them is 50 and the cars are identical) would be the same as the car hitting the wall.
