Didn't get many more pictures because he wasn't driving very fast...

He wasn't driving fas t probably to avoid the handling characteristic at 88...

Ugh. Why must you ruin a perfectly good DeLorean by slapping some fake time machine crap on it? Don't get me wrong, I liked BTTF, but this isn't going to allow you to travel through time.

A not very good Puegeot V6.

I am in two minds about this - funny yes, but even with that 'rotten' engine a very cool car in its native glory.

You know if a JAP firm sorted it and kept the design I'd buy one if made now - well you know. ...

A Houston, TX firm has the manufacturing rights now and is producing modernized versions. http://www.delorean.com/

Apparently the new ones are actually reliable and significantly more powerful.

Here's the build-out sheet for one. http://www.delorean.com/newbuild.asp

I'm also told that DMC-Houston can come up with one producing up to 400hp, if so desired.

Just checked the DeLorean values.

My mum was considering buying one several years ago from our neighbour (only driven once!), back when they were worth around $12K. Now they are worth around $30K. DOH!

Fun fact about the BTTF DeLoreans, because of all the extra movie stuff they swapped Porsche engines into them :) Also the DeLorean chassis was designed by Lotus and is very similar to an Esprit it was ruined in the US market by headlight height requirements and some other BS, if you bring it in line with the original EU spec it should be pretty decent.
