Thought this could be.interesting a thread qbout bad habits we have picked up over the years.

Mine:
Picking at scars
Tend to leave lights on due to mild forgetful tendencies.
Often having computer muted for porn purposes, this can lead to me checking over the speakers, audio settings etc until I remember to unmute.

Cobol74 - Get down from your high horse, no one is perfect, it simply is not possible. :p

Let's see here....

Drinking way to much
Fast food addiction
Driving way to fast
Trying anything once when it comes to drugs.
Tendencies to ignore medical conditions.

How the heck am I still alive?

My worst bad habit is not listening to people anymore when they talk with me and I don?t find the topic interesting. I then let my mind wonder or think about more interesting stuff while pretending to listen. The strange thing is that people rarely notice.

haha, i actually do that too from time to time... unintentionally ofc.

also on the list:
- nail nibbling (can't be called biting anymore, i'm getting rid of it)
- i CAN be impatient (especially in regard to my mother and on certain topics)

there's more, i swear... i'll post that later :p

I'm usually planning my response while they're talking, to the point where I miss what they're actually saying :p

Nail biting. I also tend to pick my nose when there's that one snot I can't blow out. Obviously not in public...

Biting my nails. Terrible habit, I hate it and I wanna stop.

Chewing gum. I've actually managed this one well lately. I used to chew 3 metric shit tons of gum all the time, running through 3 dentyne packets in 5 days. Now I don't. I barely go through a packet of gum in like 3 weeks.

Sucking di... I mean uh... driving fast and getting impatient when I drive by myself.

Swearing a lot. I used to be a good kid and never swore. Then freshman year of high school rolled by and it was "the hell with this" and "this is bullshit" and "fuck that shit" and all that. My parents were definitely concerned about this and they often used to say shit like "don't swear, you're a good brahmin boy". I never said the f-word in front of my parents obviously, but I did start swearing a little bit at a time, just to test the waters and see what was acceptable. In 7th and 8th I was a good kid so I didn't say anything. In 9th grade I said "damn" and "hell" and they were cool with it. In 11th grade I may have said the word "shit" and they were fine with it. As I grew older than that "bastard", "prick", the other f-word, and now sometimes "bitch" is acceptable. The problem is when I do say the word "bullshit" or "shit" or "that guy needs to take his attitude and shove it up his ass", my parents laugh, they don't even care. So I'm in this dichotomy of like "do I swear in front of my parents and make them laugh or do I not swear and make them comfortable with the fact that I'm their good little brahmin boy?"

Picking my nose and dropping the f-bomb. And it has sinked in so much that I don't even care if I do either of them in public or no.

Picking at scars

This. Probably made my acne much worse than it needed to be. At least its gone now.

I also pick my nose, but its not a bad habit - its the best way to empty your nose of blockages. You claim that noisily, repeatedly and tiringly blowing it is better. :p

Some nights I drive down to CA, sneak into LP's room, and watch him sleep.
