I don't think this worked really. Most of the songs would make me want to pull over and go to sleep rather than drive.

There should have been "Cars" by Gary Numan and "I like the way you move" by Bodyrockers.

He he, I bet Meatloaf wins :? Even though James trys to put people off voting for it.

EEWWW, Meatloaf, I think a few songs by The Hives could qualify as driving songs, they make me want to abuse speed limits, but that's just me, Meatloaf must float someone's boat, either that they just voted for him to piss off James... I see you're pretty fond of those M5's...

At the top of my head, I can think of 3 cool driving songs.

Fly Away - Lenny Kravitz
Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
Free Falling - Tom Petty

Then of course there are a number of Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Soundgarden, and Rage songs. But that's a whole other thread 8)

and yeah, I'm not too fond of the choices on the show.

Hahaha how funny was that in ep 1 when someone shouted out Chemical Brothers and Clarkson went into one about songs being around pre-2000. Got his wish though, there's nothing after 1980 is there?

Anyway, to nick a phrase from the Fast Show ..... recently I've been mostly driving to Dakota by the Stereophonics!!! :woot:

hahahha spitfire is not by chemical brothers its by prodigy!!!
thts kick ass

^ Is it? I'm afraid I wouldn't know a tune by either Chemical Brothers or Prodigy if it hit me in the face. :?

Hmmmmmmmm, the longer I think about, the more I do see Spitfire as an insanely quality driving song... good stuff.

Prodigy - Spitfire

That song make me  so i drive like :driving: past all the :wheelchair: but then the :coplight: comes and finds out i have had too much  and i get :lock:

"bron-y-aur stomp", led zeppelin 8)

I'd say If I die tomorrow by M?tley cr?e (or however you spell it).

But as it's "too new" song to be a good one, everyone will disown it :)

Maybe this was disscussed in the other threads on this topic, but who is that guy they showed after a couple of the clips? He said "Neat" or something like that after Radar Love, and then had another comment after Meat Loaf. I don't think they ever announced who the dude was?

California Crossing by Fu Manchu does it for me among others.

I like King of the road better ---> "king of the road says you move too slow"

That is also a good one but almost everything Fu Manchu does are awesome driving songs though
