7x03 without a doubt. Everything in series 7 really.
10x9 is also great but series 7 was so epic the world imploded.

One of my all-time favorite episodes is the homebuilt stretch limo challenge. 9x06.
The british leyland episode was another typical top gear gem
The most memorable for me was the 24 hours of Silverstone one. If anyone has complaints about scripted episodes, then this one they can never complain about. True emotion and true problems, reactions, terror and joy. I loved it.
Inb4 07x03 with the three supercars to the Millau Viaduct...
Bingo, with the Supercars through France film being my all-time favorite bit.Cant go wrong with anything from Series 7.
Or what? The sky will fall?Keep in mind this is best episode, not best film...

I would have to say the first amphibious car challenge they had. It was Top Gear at there simplistic best. No grandiose challenge, just a simple build car, take across reservoir. And yet might have been the funniest show they have ever done.
I really, really liked the ep. when they raced from London to Edinburgh ...in 1949.
Jeremy in the Flyingscotsman, James in a Jaguar and Richard in a blackwidow motorbike. Great.
