The car is real, the picture you're referring to may be not.

And this is our cop cars: http://www.stormpages.com/copcarpics/portland.html

That's my dream car, right there.
You should move here, where the real Impala is alive and well!

And to whoever said that police Vics use "souped up mustang engines" --> :lmao:
The P71 (Crown Vic police spec) comes with the same 4.6L V8 that all all Vics and Grand Marquis use. Yes, it's the same engine out of the old Mustang, but with 20 fewer hp and a slightly less durable bottom end (they're made in a different factory than the Mustang engines).

The 2004 and up police models have a whopping 10 more hp than the civilian models, and the speed limiter is 135mph instead of 106mph, but otherwise they aren't very different from a regular Crown Victoria. The police models are actually slower due to all the extra police equipment. A detailed list showing the differences between the Police, Commercial and Civilian models of the Vic can be seen here.

That Lambo looks like a chop, although there is the antenna on the rear, so I guess it's real.

And :yucky: at the Smarts.

Seems like the Smart is the latest hype in policecars. At least in Europe.

the smart fortwo coupe is a police car ?
looool, my grandmother can outrun that car on foot
As for the cornering ... only if they're ok with ending up in a ditch. lol
It's not a cop car, it's a clown car.

Man.. we have the worst police cars ever. Just the detuned 4.6 Ford Crown Victoria that weighs more than 2 tons. In australia; as shown, police get WRX's, and Holdens, etc. In Japan, it's a little more crazy, and there are a number of R33 GTS skylines, along with RX7's and 3000GTO's.

In European countries, some have BMW 3 and 5 series, and in England; they were planning to make an EVO police cars, but dropped the idea, because there werent' enough mechanics that could work on the EVO's. Rather, they often go for the Honda Accord type R.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the new and improved Hummvee.

HumFiets

(Fiets = bike, pronounce as Feets)

The Lambo police car is real, the Lamborghini gave it to a police group as an aniversary present, it is never used as far as I know.

I read about it a couple years ago, believe me its real.

The southern Italian Police had 2 Lamborghini Gallardo's donated to them; and they were used for some time. But, while "on duty", one of them had it's wheels sabotaged. A total of 6 officers that trained with the test drivers at lamborghini drive them. Quite a nice job. :woot:

Well, here on campus the safety dept. has a couple of last gen Crown Vic's as well as one or two new Crown Vic's (one of them is unmarked, which is quite silly), not to mention the single mid-90's ford ranger.

Daytona Beach has your standard V-8 Crown Vic police cars, I think I may have seen one or two of the Impala's.

Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa County have Crown Vics as their mainstay, but also have 4 last gen mustangs (one marked, three unmarked), 2 or 3 Impalas, 1 Taurus that I know of, and 1 Hummer H-1.

Hurlburt Field AFB has switched most of its fleet over to the new Impalas, but still has a few Crown Vics hanging around along with their standard complement of M-9xx and M-10xx HMMWV's and the pick up trucks they use on the flight line (mostly older model diesel chevy siverado's.

Florida Highway Patrol has half Chevy Caprices, and the other half 4th Gen Camaros. However, I think they may have started transitioning their Caprices over to Crown Vics, I'm not too sure.

I don't know anything about modifications, but I imagine that the Highway Patrol has a few of those V-10 Vics that I've been hearing about.

In the city.. Land Rover Discovery (the very very very very old model)

In the Highway, Chipper Toyota Land Cruisers and Ford Taurus
