These are from a once-in-a-lifetime* tour of Cologne Cathedral:

*You’re lucky to get tickets for the public tours because most are reserved for groups. So when two friends from Singapore confirmed their visit, the wife and I jumped on the four remaining tickets for the one tour that our schedule would allow us to take. On the day, the other eight people never showed up and so the guide, a glazier at the cathedral works, decided to expand the tour for those two locals on their sixth tour of the place and their two friends from far away. Between the translating, the necessary explanations, the need to walk a lot more than usual (for the tour we had booked) and the time it took to admire everything he was showing us, it was pretty intense and amazing.

This morning I took a walk up to the Breisach Cathedral and got this lovely photo with Hank.
