Hi,

Whats the best Wax out there I can buy?. I have been looking at Meguiars NXT Tech Wax, but theres good reviews on the Meguiars site, but not so good on independent sites. I've been wondering about the Turtle Wax Platinum range. But I dont know if it's any good.

I hope that is for a 55 gallon drum

Wow i checked prices and it isn't
why not just repaint the car once a year.

its an endless supply so its good forever

P21S Carnauba Wax is the best wax out there when you take price into account. Since it's pure carnauba wax, it needs more constant attention (every 4 months or so you need to wax again), but the stuff is magnificent.

It also goes by S100 in the U.S. It can be bought at any Harley-Davidson shop. Just do a Google search for P21S carnauba.

but it is over US$10,000.

that would be like using a full container of P21s every 3 months for 75 years....

Hi,

Thanks for your replys. I have brought some Turtle Wax Metallic Paste, and turtle wax gloss guard.

Will put it on tomorrow if the weather is good enough.

Sky

Show pictures. ;)

Preferably before and after. I want to see if it's worth the work.

Ok i've polished all 3 cars. Has got too dark now, will take pictures tomorrow. I hope it doesent rain before I get round to do it. But that will give me the chance to see the beading in work :) . I've had many people walk passed today and saying something like, WOW!, thats spotless, really shiny" :D

But after polishing my 2nd hand Micra, I have found a few little tiny dents on the drivers door :( . But oh well it still looks brill. The Primera and the new Micra came up fantastic. I just need tar remover for the Primera.

After applying the Turtle Wax Paste, they all came up pretty good, but I wasnt really happy, but after applying the gloss guard, BANG! , they started to really stand out :)

Will post tomorrow

Thanks Sky

Oh bihus, it is worth the work  . Your A6 should come up fantastic

I washed the car with this (price in link):
Code:

Waxed it with this:
Code:

And then this:

I dont think I acheived the same results that Dr. Woo(above) acheived (I finished in near dankness). I'll find out tomorrow how good the Turtle Wax was. But Turtle Wax doesent cost as much as P21S, but it does last longer than the P21S, and it cleans the body work as you apply the wax.

Sky

P.S. Seeing that it's a full moon outside, I thought of taking a picture of the moon reflecting off the bodywork. But it's so cold out side, that all the panels have misted up (if you know what I mean). So hopefuly the weather will be dry tomorrow for me to take pics.

Yeah, I know how that is. I really like a freshly washed car with mist on it.

The best "wax" I've ever used was Zaino.
They have a whole line of products that work well in conjunction.

Unlike most other "waxes" Zaino is a synthetic polish. It will not give you a deep of a shine, but it will give you a VERY strong coat that lasts a VERY long time.
Plus, their products smell like fruit and makes the whole process very pleasant. :D

Good point.
Maybe they can arrange international shipping for you.
They're a relatively small business and would appreciate international demand for their products.

I already heard a lot from them, from AudiWorld, and other forums.
I could get it from eBay from UK, but it's too expensive to justify it. eBay link

Pinnacle.

It is a common misconception that wax will make your car look better. If you have lots of swirl marks and other defects waxing will only magnify those defects.

Polishing is what makes the car look good.
