Bicycles!

I'm currently building this:

but as you can see, I have a long way to go...

Ooooh...
Bianchi=$$$

I once considered buying a used Bianchi, but I would've been too scared to bring it to school XD

My bike is too small for me, I have a hardtail MTB and I have to bend down really hard to ride it, maybe I get myself a new one some time..

Heres my nice day commuter in the garage. An old Raleigh, picked it up last year at a junk shop for about $30. Haven't had to do anything yet but I think I might treat it to a tune up soon and maybe some new tires as the ones on it seem to be slowly crumbling. Still trying to figure out how old it is.

The color scheme is very similar to the one in my bicycle.

The bike i have, but in grey. Also have a bmx iv built up but it needs alot of work doing to it

I have a Cannondale trekking bike with hydraulic brakes from Magura. A mountain bike which I forgot the name of (something Japanese I think.. :-D) And a black Batavus 'grandma's bike' (Dutch people know what I mean ;-))

Here's my old bike. Hasn't been used in a while though, valve stem snapped off, lost the front tire, then I got my driver's license and haven't bothered with it. Three speed internal hub goodness. Beat the crap out of that bike, logged some serious miles.

I'm not sure if I belong is this thread. I don't really ride all that much, only about 20-30 km a day. But I'm working on getting my cadence up to go my times down. It seems that that is the key to really using a road bike.

Sorry cdbod, you need to ride atleast 31km per day to post in this thread.

great.... I accidently opened this thread and now I have to go wash out my eyes with soap....

;)

Well thanks to my high levels of fail I now need a new front wheel, 2 new sti levers, and tires.

30km a day is about 9000 km a year... considering you're not going really everyday. Thats really a lot for "non professional" bikers...

I just achieved this once... when i still was in school meaning having limitless time and we also had the best summer I've ever experienced... now I'm lucky when i come to 5000 a year...

Hooray, I can now post.

I've spent the last week cycling the canal de Garonne. I was hoping to cycle the Canal du Midi too but I ran out of time.

It was good cycling, mostly flat and always with a view.

Here is me and the bike :

Yes, the bike is purple. Yes, it is a ladies' bike. Yes, it is too small for me. It's the only thing they had on eBay within my budget though.

Now that's will power!! Congrats man!!

I mis riding...not that I can't, but in the past few years I wasn't riding as much as I used too.
It's not 20-30km a day like some of you. I use my bike for recreational purposes. And this ear I'm going back to riding.

When I lived in the capitol I rode more, it was better then the tram or bus.

Anyone have any experience with Bromptons or other folding bicycles?
I live smack in the middle of a busy city and getting to work involves taking the bus up a huuuuge hill or climbing 350~ stairs to get to the top of it. I think it could be fun, since I can compact it and hop on the bus if the weather is rotten, take it to the shops and pub without locking it outside... It would fit nicely in my small apartment. My usual bike is too large to keep inside and it's getting ruined staying out on the balcony...
