I was at Audio Engineering Society Convention in Munich so I had to visit BMW museum at that occasion. I also had luck and there was technical tour from convention to BMW Department of Acoustic and Vibrations (part of BMW research and development centre). Sadly BMW doesn't allow to take photos there, but I saw a new Rolls cruisning aroud and a new 5-series during the tests in the anechoic chamber (both in camouflage). At this tour Dr. Gerhard Thoma showed us how development of acoustic and vibration ascpects of new cars looks like. Apart of engine sound and noise reduction they're even working on the sound of closing doors. Apart of that we were passing some other interesting places, for example area where BMW tests suspension. After about 3 hours of visitng these labs I went to the museum and I have some pictures from there.

whole album (you can download hi-res pics from there) - http://picasaweb.google.com/settler14/BMWMuseum

<3 the M635 next to the M1.

Oh, and <3 the M1.

No, you can download high-res versions right here. Bloody hell, even my high-speed can't handle it!

I don't get irony or something...

Picasa scale down all images, but you can download original ones in higher resolution using "download" button. Since Picasa doesn't say what res are uploaded photos all I wanted to say was that they are like these posted here (5Mpix, about 2MB each).

Big pics are biiiiiiiiiig.

Dibs on the M3 (M-AH 3) also. That is all.

They were just finishing the BMW-Welt thing when I was there. Shame, but it looks nice! No rival to Mercedes' museum though.

My point is, if you're going to make high-res ones available elsewhere, then only post 800x600 pics to the forum. There is no reason to post massive 2500 pixel images which slow everyone's browser to a standstill if they can see even higher-res ones by clicking on a link. It's not the end of the world or anything, but dealing with massive images on the forums is annoying (the images you posted here are 2mb EACH!).
