So Russia wins. Well played, fuckwits.

Boris Johnson 'on brink of Brexit deal' after border concessions

Negotiators understood to have agreed in principle to customs border down Irish Sea

Someone wrote that May's deal was like a pig with lipstick and that BoJo's has no lipstick....

I still expect any deal that is brokered will fail to get past the Commons' vote.

The ERG and DUP are onboard, how can it fail....

There are major doubts about the DUP being on board. They want NI in the same customs union as the rest of the UK.

Looks like it's all over bar the shouting. There will be a certain amount of bluff and bluster on this one but I can't see any way this won't now go through.

Bloody depressing.

Ok, so how different is BoJo's deal from Mayhem's so called "surrender deal" that was rejected in Parliament three times?

Tony Blair: This deal doesn’t end the Brexit saga, which will define our country for generations. You don’t take a decision of destiny through a spasm of impatience. Parliament should vote this deal down, get an extension & then the British people should take the final decision.

How a last-ditch amendment derailed Johnson’s Brexit plans – and what happens now

The amendment passed by the House of Commons today activates a legal requirement for Boris Johnson to ask Brussels for an extension to the Brexit process, meaning he risks missing his target of taking the UK out of the EU by 31 October.

Not really. He sent the letter unsigned with another letter which says "hey, kids, granting an extension isn't a very good idea, mmkay?"

Which EU leaders will have the sense to ignore. They know there is a strong chance now of legislation for a second referendum which puts the choice back to the British public which may mean the UK could remain. As long as there is even a 1% chance that could happen the EU27 will do what they can to facilitate that.

Yesplease.

Sturgeon and Drakeford have done Boris' job for him and sent a signed letter to Tusk requesting a lengthy extension.

Awesome!
