Let me get this straight. Threads regarding the following are OKAY?

Piracy
Filesharing/Torrents
Illegal drugs

I post INFORMATION (without any benefit to myself) about a website which has been proven to be legitimate and it is LOCKED? Was I begging for people to sign up? Did I provide a referral link? NO & NO. Where does it state in the forum's TOS that I cannot post about pyramid schemes?

This is total bullshit.
 
The rules don't state not to post pyramid schemes but, the mods don't like them 9/10 times.

I had posted a thread about "surfjunky" and it was locked as well. Mods seem to be pretty hard-assed about them.

Best thing to do is just go about your day and not let it bother you, since you weren't knowingly breaking the rules. ;)
 
Okay, I've explained this whole situation to you in a PM Cvrefugee. This doesn't need to be blown out of proportion like this. Viper has mentioned a few times that he doesn't want discussions of matrix schemes on this forum. I am a moderator, he is the administrator - I am simply following my role as a moderator.

I'll leave this thread open for a bit, but again, if Viper doesn't have a problem with the thread you posted earlier I will gladly open it up for you. For now, it will stay locked.
 
If he doesn't like the discussion of these matrix schemes then why is it not made a rule to prohibit them (like other forums do)?

I'm not looking for a referral, like I said, I'm all done with the iPod. I'm definitely not spamming the boards and a matrix scheme is NOT illegal, unlike other conversations that take place here.

My only intent was to give those in the UK a heads up. Whether or not you agree with the ethics of a matrix scheme shouldn't give you the right to stop people from looking into the matter. Hell, when I first learning of the freeipods.com site I thought it was a complete scam. It isn't, and you know that. The links you PMed me even agree with that statement.

It's not like Zenon was at all rude about it. It's just that the majority of us (but most importantly Viper) don't like people posting pyramid-type schemes. There's no need to get mad about it. 8)

I am a Quebecer too and I'm proud of it for many reasons, Where are you from, CA doesn't tell us if it's California or Canada.

And I'll keep on unlocking this fucking thread until I'm satisfied with your explications if some other mod locks it for another reason.

Please calm down. I don't get what you are getting so pyscho about. :?

I've already told you that this is not a reaction to something that is specifically written in the rules of the forum. Viper has mentioned before that he doesn't want matrix schemes like FreeIpods.com discussed in the forum. There isn't a specific rule for it, but he set a precident for how to deal with these sorts of threads, and us mods are simply doing our jobs by locking your thread.

Just be thankful it wasn't deleted, because I just have easily could have done that. I locked it so that Viper can make the ultimate decision on wether it's opened up again, kept locked or deleted.

And again, calm the fuck down arleady. :censored:

Anyway, it's an unwritten rule, one which I will go write down after I post this.

Frankly, these are my forums and I can do as I wish. I don't mean to sound like an ass, but that's just how it is. I don't like those pyramid/matrix/whatever sites. You just are selling your personal information and then getting other people to come do the same.

In my book, people posting referral links is just as bad as people posting referral links to those stupid online game things.

I won't have ether here. If you can't live with not being able to post what most people consider spam (spam does not have to be mulitple posts BTW - look it up), then you're welcome to leave, but I hope it doesn't come to that.

Anyway, that's how it's gonna be, period.
