Bull Terrier vs. Porcupine

Why don't they take the dog to the vet instead of taking pictures? Assholes.
 
Aaawww...do those spikes have some sort of poison in it, or stuff that irritates?

That's nasty, especially around the eyes and the nose.. :(

I think they have a slight irritive in them, but basically they are hollow.

Quills are not poisoned, but animals may die from a porcupine encounter if the quills prevent eating. Porcupines often fall on their own quills. Likely as an evolutionary result, the quills possess mild antibiotic properties.

Quills are sharp-pointed, fitted with microscopic barbs, and expand on contact with warm flesh. Muscle contractions in a quill victim work the quill deeper, as much as an inch per day unless quills are removed promptly.

Yeah totally forgot about that, in nature there itsn't a vet to pull hte quills out of the face/body...
