Damn, some cities have more flights between them per day than there are buses between the city centre and my place.

South Africa has some of the busiest sectors.
Today: Johannesburg - Cape Town 114 flights
Johannesburg Durban 90 flights
All these are on 100+ seater aircraft

That's a LOT of traffic...

Not at all surprising to see MEL-SYD 3rd on that list. QANTAS and Virgin Blue have flights there every day. QANTAS has them every 1/2hour and 99% of the time they're full flights too.

We're looking at flights between two cities on a daily basis, and not how busy a certain airport is.

I have to go to the atlanta airport, i personally don't think its all too bad unless is holadays...and i also go to the Taiwanese airport alot too...don't think its bad either. I guess i got used to the crowdedness

Oh, sorry, I deleted it when I realized the topic was about flight routes and not the airports themselves. You guys are getting fast at responding to things, I barely get a chance to edit or fix my posts before someone comes along and quotes me...>.<

And I thought there was alot of flights coming in to LAX when I was there last week... I would hate to be an air traffic controller at one of those airports :lol:

Very strange though, only one of those airports rank in the most overall traffic a year, which is Barajas International Airport, Madrid. Where Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is #1. But those all own in daily traffic.

But I see that this is a top ten between seven days, not an annual report. And one major continent is missing.
