Wow, pretty neat. Did it fly away when you got the camera upclose?

hehe, yes is on the window, but even than you need to wait, and be relaxt or the butterfly is gone....

I had my cam 10cm from the butterfly and used a marco option, damnz tose butterfly's have big eyes :D

I was at the local historic races and there happened to be 2 butterflyies doin the mating thing

I snapped these pics. there not the best becasue they were flying around and it was windy

Yeah I would agree.


Interestingly, Portland International Raceway (where I took these pics) actually has some pretty good stuff for nature photography.


It is surrounded by sort of acreek river thing and so it has lots of birds (eagles, herons, gooses) and I've seen a few beavers and im sure there is deer sometimes because of the water and grass.On the inside of the track there is a big swamp so it has brids, snakes, frogs and lots of flowers and plants.It obviusly has lots of insects (butterflys) and stuff.

It's good if you get bored of the cars, or they stopp runnign for an hour or two.

There i salso a golf course right on the other side of the stream to watch

Wow, i had no idea Portland IR was so diverse. I should have gone up there for ALMS this year... guess I'll mark it down on the calendar for next time. Very nice shots and that alphabet is spooky.
