Buy a car off Craigslist game

None in my neck of the woods. :(

This is the best I could find, but slightly over budget at $7600.

If anyone can actually find a decent S2k for under $7k, they should post it. That's a tough ask.

Next up, an unmodified factory stock Mk IV (last gen 1992-2002) Toyota Supra, for $35k.

Not in my area - cleapest stock ones are $10k here.

No Mk IV Supras on the Detroit CL.

1993, $24K

Hmm... they say "unmodified" except for the stereo, but are those original wheels and headlights?

If that's not good enough, keep it going.

If it is good enough to bring on a new round:
Any car that has been modified to look like something other than the basic idea of what it is. Limousine conversions, pickup conversions, hearses, Nissank or Toyboatas, or "car pool" pool cars are all acceptable. They are disqualified if they SAY they it's not road-legal, or don't run.

Next challenge? Find a dead car (no/bad engine/trans car for $750-$1000 that you don't even think I would try to fix.

That's not really a challenge.

2002 Hyundai Accent GL with toasted transmission. Ad copy is amusing; any repair would exceed the resale value of the car.

I couldn't find the different local ad that pops up from time to time that has a tree growing through the middle of what's left of an Olds.

Needs a little work but not ruined. There was also one on Dallas CL until last Saturday... when my friend bought it at the $6200 list price.

Challenge: No price limit. Find a riced-out Honda with: Stickers, giant wing, huge fart pipe, lowering, aftermarket wheels and body kit that does NOT have the word 'unique' in the ad.

whoops! not a honda!

Yes, headlights are original. Wheel remind me of the facelifted wheels without hubcaps, but they look stock-ish enough, even though they probably aren't. Rest of the car appears to be stock though.

Can I just say that I love reading this thread - it's a fantastic idea, and I'd wish I could participate, but hardly anyone uses craigslist on continental Europe. :(

Closest I've got is a Quattroporte for $15,000 (just under ?10K). Doesn't make me think "supercar" though.

That's too cheap. Is there a motor?

Salvage title, but it said it didn't NEED any major work (clutch is on it's way out, but works).

If that qualifies...next one should be two vehicles sold as a pair. Any price, any type of motorized vehicle, but one of them has to be something road legal. Examples: Truck & boat, car & non-running school bus, Motorcycle and hovercraft, RV and submarine, etc.

Those seats looks like they are made out of expired bologna.

They looked a lot like that when they were a year old, too. :p

Maseratis were not exactly made of the most durable materials...
