None, right now. Bye Bye Mustang. :-(
Hello guys, trying to help someone decide between 2 cars in his area.

He wants to buy in the Yarmouth area in the UK and has a budget of less than 2000 pounds.

After searching for just a few minutes, I found these:

Or

http://www.stationcarsyarmouth.co.uk/images/carsnewsite/renault/lagunalm03/lagunalm03.htm

Whatever he gets needs to be cheap, reliable, and cheap to run. He's not really looking for anything sporty, just cheap for now. :)

That's Hobson's Choice if ever I saw it. Swap the Ford for a Peugeot or Citroen and add something from GM and you have the Holy Trinity of Do Not Want!

Why the C-Max and not a regular Focus? They are in plentiful supply and a good one shouldn't be hard to track down. Or an ex-fleet Mondeo for that money.

And my Golf GT TDi 150 was only ?2K (admittedly underpriced but look hard enough and you will find similar), gets 50mpg, goes like stink and has far more badge kudos than either of those. A Seat Leon in similar spec shouldn't be out of the question either and parts are plentiful and there are plenty of independent VW specialists around who don't charge the earth for maintenance or repairs.

All very good questions. :p

Trying to get him to increase his price to maybe 2500.0. Did find a few Focus's, 2 Mondeo's and a Seat at that price. He's just one of those people who sees cars as another appliance. I'm working on it, but thanks for the info! :D

One is French and therefore should be set on fire (if you don't it will do it to itself eventually anyway), the other one is a car for people who have given up on life....

If he wants an appliance tell him to get a washing machine :p

If you're buying car for two grand or less, why the hell are you gonna care about badge kudos?

1.9 DCI is not good, look for 2.0 DCI if you want Renault.

You let him buy an Aveo?

I thought you were a better friend than that!

I'm thinking he's a 'friend' or frenemy more than an actual friend. :p
