Cars I want to see on Top Gear: America...

Your point?

When they came out everyone said they were junk and that they were all going to fall apart within 5 years.

But look what is still storming the streets of north america today, the K-car.

Sure, they aren't great cars, but they aren't terrible.

It's time to find a Marina-equivalent. I'm thinking K-car.

K-Cars aren't that terrible. They are cheap and fairly reliable.

yea, those old Chrysler K-cars have almost a "Corolla-like" dependability.

but from what i heard, the 3 have a common "hatred" of the Toyota Camry. maybe a few old Camrys will have some sort of large musical instrument fall on them? maybe a new Camry will have that same unfortunate luck?

Fiat's supposed to be coming back to the States next year (2011). Maybe a film in that regard?

Saleen S281 vs. Roush 5XR/540RH vs. Shelby GT500.

STi vs. Evo X vs. RX-8? (Would be nice to see the American spec versions that we can actually buy; yes, I'm aware the Evo X already made an appearance...)

Classic muscle car shootout.

ZR1 vs. Viper ACR (once again, they already featured the ACR )

NY to LA with....anything (Challenger, Camaro, Mustang? Or GTs).

Accord vs. Camry vs. Fusion

Search for the "best" hybrid.

International expedition of some sort. Canada, Mexico, Europe, China...not picky about the cars.

YES! And also sneak in an Abarth so when folks go to the dealerships, they keep asking for this. :) I really don't want to wait an extra year for it.

Please please please please please please....

Also, and bear with me.

I want to see a show where they go over the new electric, electric-hybrid, pseudo-sorta-mostly electric cars and so forth. Like the "Car of the Year" Volt.

Do it properly and show the average American that these cars are really not what a lot of people think they are. They wont save the planet or keep the ice caps from melting, nor will polar bears give you hugs for driving one. Bleah.

*rant over mostly*

I would like to see a Laguna Seca track day episode with the ZR1, Shelby GT500, Viper and Camaro Z28.

Please destroy a '02 Altima 2.5S.

PLEASE DESTROY A '02 ALTIMA 2.5S!

- has a grudge

They SHOULD have a running gag like that. A hated car, like how the UK hated the Morris Marina, and kept dropping pianos on it.

My choice would be the Chevy Chevette.

That spot's already been taken by the Toyota Camry.

Hell no. Chevette's are sweet! They're RWD!

I would love some modern boring Camry carnage. I'd still love to see 'em take some revenge on my old car, though. I saw on "Mythbusters" the other day that a viewer sent in the car they were destroying. Why didn't I think of this with the Failtima?!

Also, that Venom GT is beautiful. Well, it looks like an Exige. And Exiges are beautiful. I'd love to see that thing on the show. Including some bits about Hennessey's shady dealings would be interesting, too.

Or, heck, try and round up all the cars based on the Elise/Exige platform for extra lulz. That'd fill up at least one episode right there! (Though that might be a better idea for the UK guys to use, seeing how Lotus started over there.)

I have a place I'd like to see on the show, more to see them look at it and frown at what it has become from what it once was.

Bradford, Pennsylvania.

http://www.pennzoil.com/history/

Due to its location, it could easily be included on a tour of the Rust Belt from Buffalo, NY, down to Pittsburgh, PA.

And yes, what became Holley carburetor and Pennzoil, along with the other non-automotive companies (and others I didn't list), were all started there.
