for $45,000 canadian, is the 300C better value than a 325i for around the same price?? :?: :?:
 
I don't think the question is which is a better value...

The question is would you rather drive a Chrysler or a BMW? :p
 
300C has that great Hemi V8, and the 3 series is getting a redesign soon. Still, that BMW has a great engine, great handling, great resale value, and a great badge :mrgreen: .

The Chrysler is definitely the better value, but the badge may mean a whole lot to many people. Furthemore one is a midsize and one is a compact. Your choice depends on your lifestyle needs.

Here in Europe we would call it (lower) midsize and for you guys it's compact... :?:

Yeah our perception of size here in North American is quite different from that in Europe haha.

Compacts include cars like the Civic, the Corolla, and the 3 series etc.

THe smart car would probably be classfied as a sub-compact.
 
As I said, you have different measures over there... :wink:
I agree that Civic and Corolla can be classified as (upper) compacts, but not the 3 series...The new BMW 1 series is supposed to belong to that class and can be compared with cars like Corollas, Golfs, etc.

btw, I noticed something:
The Car parked behind the Smart on this picture is VW Polo (type 6N to be precise), exactly the same model I am driving. :)

depends what you want for your money.. but I don't see anyone crossbuying these 2 cars.. they're like the opposite! :roll:

I agree, 300C and 325i are totally different class of car...attract different class of people. Me, I like the 300C styling (and that nice Hemi to boot), but I'd still explore (and probably go for) the BMW option.
 
I wouldn't even think about a 300C. Sure it doesn't look bad but it's still a boat... HEMI or not it's nowhere close to the refinement of a BMW and the handling is miles behind even if the 3 Series is getting old.

Plus having a Chrysler or a BMW? not too hard to chose... :wink:

:lol: that's true. Brand image has somethign to do. But well a Chrysler will be far too common and will have Chrysler quality (if we can call that quality) :wink:

Without having driven it - I doubt that the 300C has the agilitiy of a 3 series bimmer.
But I think since Chrysler belongs to Mercedes they make "better" cars... (concerning quality, handling, etc.)

I sat in a 300c at an autoshow. The interior is still not on par with a Benz or a Lexus, but its pretty good, and way better than the crappy interiors that Chrylser used to get.
 
ok, i dont know if this has been said before, but i just saw a new 300 on the roads today when i was driving home from crew (rowing) pracitce and i thought, hey, that looks like a minitaure RR Phantom.

idk, the lines just kinda, well, looked REALLY similar, anyone else think this?
 
I dunno...they look nicer when they're on the truck then when driving down the road. I've been seeing tons of them on trucks, and they looked great. Now I'm starting to see some on the highways, and they all of a sudden don't look as nice...the lines just annoy me.
 
I think that the RR is the only car on the road that the 300 even remotely resembles. I think this is a compliment to the 300C.
