Then, towards the end of the week, Jezza told some socialist hippies at a book festival in a field that he'd driven at 186 mph through the Limehouse Link.
Just to qualify that statement I thought Jeremy went down really well with the crowd at The Guardian's book festival talk, and gave him a great platform to articulate his views, and he received a really warm reception. So I don't totally understand what he means by that. And yeah the press gave him a rough time (predictably) about the Limehouse statement, but curiously, not The Guardian.
And there were no hippies there. Nor did I spot anyone dressed as Che Guevara.
