There's a scene where Ricky Gervais's character is getting ready for a date and complains because, "I've got Jeremy Clarkson's closet!" Thought that was pretty funny when I saw it, but my roommates had no clue what I was laughing at.

You guys ever hear Clarkson mentioned on any other shows?

Nate

I think he was on "What Not To Wear" which is what Trinny and Susanna were alluding to when they were guests in season 5 (26/12/2004). He was part of the coverage of "Live8" which is the first time his slipped discs were mentioned and I'm sure he's been referenced in other shows.

However, I gotta say, I don't know why people deride his clothes or sense of dress: designer jeans, blue dress shirt (probably from Jermyn Street), brown suede Chelsea boots, and a blazer - that's what I wear every weekend!!

Yeah, Clarkson dresses fine... I dare say better than James... James is a little too English for my North American tastes sometimes. I don't get why people criticize his sense of style...

Although I must admit, that suit he was wearing when he went to "open" the community pool in the old Roller was really dated-looking.

He doesn't even run off at the mouth as much as people think he does... there's a lot more TV personalities in America that have nothing positive to say.

I thought he was a bit of a tool last week, too smug.

Clarkson isn't well-dressed, but then again most people aren't.

I've always thought that the clothes Clarkson wears in the early series are a bit worn, but it seems he's gotten a new wardrobe for the current series. The blazers and shirts look new and he looks a lot less scruffy.

I think he dresses fine, contrary to what Mr Webber believes. He really shouldn't talk, being close the back of the grid this year and all that, I bet he isn't getting as much money as he used to... He should put his views a bit lower down the money spectrum.

Anyways... Back to the original topic. I watched "Have I Got News For You" on BBC... 1 or 2. Anyways, I did it quite by chance, and Jezza was the guest presenter. It was great! His wit and sharp-mouthed comments really did it for me

Yeah, some of the clothes that Jezza wears aren't that bad, they're old man conservative... Mind you, Webber was right about that awful blue jacket with PINK lining :yucky:

James seems to dress very conservatively every week and Richard is the young, hip dude :p

Webber was just joking with JC, after all he took a shot at him regarding the clothes Williams "make" him wear.

I know, I know, it's all in good spirited fun, joky thingie

I like Mark, I think he is a great driver, just that Frank couldn't give him a decent enough car, and poor Mark isn't so good yet that he can make a sh*t car go faster than it should... Pity, pity... :|

Damn! I love "Have I Got News For You" - I can't believe I missed the episode where Clarkson was the guest presenter. Is it...ehm...available?

Certain Brits, with money, for some reason like to wear good quality clothes that have worn badly over the years. I work with a lot of British bankers who have more money than God and they always wear shirts with worn collars and suits with shiny patches.

Hey! I've got a charcoal pinstripe with pink lining...it is very choice. Again, it's a British thing - when you get a bespoke suit you have to choose an odd-colored lining to make sure people know you didn't buy off-the-peg!

Given all the controversy, I've started a new thread about JC's studio clothes where I go through each and every outfit from this season, complete with screen caps. It doesn't get much sadder than that.

I've got that episode of "Have I Got News for You" and it seems a few are interested, so I guess I'll post it here soon enough. :)

^I've got that aswell, just tell me where to put it :D

Can you make a torrent of it? I can't, so I'd just be using YouSendIt.com instead, which means someone would still have to turn it into a torrent later on.

No matter what method is used, it would go in the Video Offers forum. Just have to make a thread called "Jeremy Clarkson on 'Have I Got News For You'" or something like that.

Let me know (by PM, preferably).

Re: Clarkson mentioned on BBC's "Extras"

A bit OT, but did you see the last one with Les Dennis? Les was great, he was able to take the pi** out of himself. It was really funny, he was a great sport to do that a lot of people have too bigger egos. It was great.
I liked everything Les said and his impression of Graham Norton, not only souded like him but was funny. The bit about his dressing room, cards from well wihsers, phoning up the papers himself, reading out the newspaper that was slagging him off but he was taking it as a good thing and finally Rikki saying, "Where would you like to go back to?" and Les replying, "1992".
