While I was out and about on a small cycling loop ( ) I stumbled upon a classic car gathering. That was a welcome opportunity since I planned on taking a break there anyway, it was 67 km into the ride after all. More pictures in the second post since you can "only" attach 25 images per post.

Obviously not a 2002 turbo, but with the turbo wheel arches, BBS alloys and whatnot

This is a Wartburg 353, one of the two most common cars in the GDR, the other being the Trabant.

Now this is a small car!

That one had an "H" plate which means historic car. I have no idea how on earth it got that since it has been obviously heavily modified, the whole interior including carpets and even the passenger seat had been ripped out...

"Rennpappe" (racing cardboard - those Trabants were the standard cars in the GDR, albeit obviously not kitted out like that, the body is made of Duroplast)

I have no idea what kind of engine that Opel had, but it had Porsche brakes and a speedometer up to 280 kph...

That Essex Super-Six is a special one - it's an arm-y vehicle! :drums:

Seriously though, why does it have arms? Anyone? Arms.

Some lovely machines there. You could've filled a tank on your back with free petrol and gone around selling it like wine, no doubt some of these are quite thirsty by modern standards.

I'd guess those are supposed to be the severed limbs of the mobster's enemies since it looks like a mobster car or something (see the inflatable tommy gun in the backseat)... :dunno:

There is no need for absolute originality with a historical numberplate. This has been changed in 2010 or so. No need for a grade 3 or higher to obtain it.
And mods aren't a problem either, if they are contemporary - which this is. So fully historical.
