I'm just posting pics one by one for you to admire and also to get some discussion going. They're from the Classic Car Show I went to last year.

Plus, it keeps me busy (I really need a job dammit) and hopefully you guys will be able to identify some of the cars that I couldn't

Here's the first one:

AC Cobra 289 MkII

The original can be found at: http://imagehost.biz/ims/pic.php?u=2712RPot5&i=39843

Shame about the ropes on this pic - but what a beautiful car - everyone loves the Cobra, am I right? :)

Shame about the ropes on this pic
It's amazing what people do to cars at car shows. The last show I took my Cobra to, it had fingerprints everywhere, lipstick all over the front of the car (for some reason girls want to kiss the car), and someone sat in the seat with a pen in their pocket and drew a line on the leather seat. If you stand there and tell people "hands off" they look at you like "why did you bring it to the show, then?"

I know what you mean... Specially kids with greasy hands...

But what a nice car... 8)

I'd had an electric fence around it, 220volt, kids learn fast while in pain.

It's one of my favourites (I have lots) since the restoration of A car is born, that was great.

Surprisingly, this was one of the only cars at the show with a barrier - another was a Ferrari 355 IIRC. btw - I've updated the "original" location bit - I'll put this with each pic I post in case someone wants the full 5MP pic for whatever purpose.

thanks - I'll update my post - judging by the stickers it's from some sort of race/rally - should I put anything else after it's name like "Touring Car" or "Rally Editon" or anything?

It seems to be from some touring car race. Patrese and Biasion together?

thanks Josty - seems it's a TT competition car - but I think I'll just leave it as is :)

what do you make of the bodykit btw - do you think it adds something or really spoils it?

This is pure brute car! The bodykit is beautyful. Especially the wheelarches, it's not smooth and not curvy but I like that alot.

This is a the same one, only this hasn't got the Hellalights. This one..damn, the backside is a beauty on it's own too.

The back (since H-scroll is already fucked up)

I think it adds. It makes it look like it's gonna eat the asphalt. arrrghhhh.

Haha, yeah old Alfa Romeos are actually really beautiful. You can see it's made by real men. And if you see one you wouldn't think it came out of a factory.

I really like those old classics:

thanks for pics Josty
good stuffs

Yeah, they look nice, but they are from the time when every young petrolhead's greatest dream was to get an Alfa Romeo... But as soon as they got it, their greatest dream was to get rid of them...

Well because of other reasons maybe, but the most important part was the design, and it's stunningly simple something, look at the rearlights of the 1972 Alfa Romeo 1600 GT Junior, they are actually pretty simple but looks SO nice on this car!

Yeah, but the unreliability fame never went away.

It seems you're gonna get an Alfa, instead.
