Common everyday cars you admire...besides your own!

One car that I feel never has garnered the appreciation it deserved was the newer 6th generation Monte Carlo. I feel this car has really great lines that harkon back to the classic car, yet still retains a modern look.

I esspecially like the rear end styling:

But for some fucking retarded reason, it was never available with a V8 and it was front wheel drive! What the fuck chevy?

Agreed on the E92 3 series, new MB C class (any of them), Volvo C30, Audi RS4, i see them all the time and constantly imagine what it would be like if i owned them

Never liked that generation Monte Carlo tbh. A little too plain. I have the same problem with the GTO/Monaro. They don't look bad but they don't stand out either. Of course, it's a great car (the Monaro that is).

Jag XF (especially in dark blue - it really looks the business)

Great style for a saloon car :)

Simple, and technically indestructible. It is a brilliant piece of over-engineering!

And a car which is surprisingly common here:

Somehow I find that pictures don't do this one justice. It's just amazing in person...what a car!

C'mon Vector. 2006-2007 models, the 6th gens with the revised front fascia, were available with a 303hp V8. I can't remember if it's a 5.3 or 5.7. Of course, it still powered the wrong set of wheels.

Lets see, common everyday stuff I admire ...

Not as common as Jeeps, K5s or Broncos, but there are a surprising amount of International Scout IIs here. A platform that's not much bigger than a Jeep but has a commercial-grade V8 drivetrain and Dana 44s? Awesome.

We don't see it in North America but it sure looks nice :p [Australia]

The Aurion, the MUCH better looking Camry xD

You may like the look of it but as soon as you got into the drivers seat you'd hate it. The handling is awful, the gearbox is awful and the steering is awful. The interior is very ugly too.

And if your travelling inside one at night, you have to pick between sore eyes or not using the stereo. The absolutely gigantic stereo console glows a very bright blue whenever it's on and you can't turn the glow off at all unless you turn the stereo off completely (or drive without headlights).

I'm a fan of the Ford Fiesta. Ordinary styling, ugly interior and the engine sounds disgusting but the handling is absolutely fantastic. The steering too gives oddles of feedback. I wouldn't have thought a cheap hatchback would be the best handling car I've ever driven.

I love those. My uncle has one with a 345 V8 and a 4 speed. Its a riot around his ranch. The 3900rpm redline is kind of annoying though

Ford Falcon AU XR6.
From a pretty bloody ordinary looking car, with relatively few changes, to something I think is one of the nicest looking cars to come out of this country.

Mazda 323 Astina/Protoge(Last models before the Mazda3)
Tidy looking little cars, and not trying to be anything else.

Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Been around for so long, more or less the same, and still one hell of a truck. Latest version is a bit of a departure from the original, but still a fine vehicle.

Toyota HiLux.
The car driven by any true Holden or Ford fan :p. The little ute that Australians line up to buy above all others.

Every time I see a Golf GTI or Jetta GLI I feel like applauding the driver for some reason. Also MAD respect for Vovlo C30s.

Some of you must live very wealthy areas if you think common, everyday cars are S class Mercedes and 5-6 series BMWs. :glare:

Stick with the topic.

Because I plan on replacing my Volvo with one (or an RS5) and I think it's just sheer automotive pornography.

There are a lot of 5 series, CLS in Hungary..not so many S-classes. A LOT of Audi Q7s though... I don't think it's about wealth, it's probably more about what people want to spend money on. However, if we go down to common cars, we would immediately eliminate all the Alfas, even though they are not sooo expensive.
