I've tried searching for this on the forum and couldn't find anything, so apologies if it's here and I just missed it...

I've been having an issue with Real Player converting video files for iTunes/iPods. Sometimes, the files, such as the one below, become audio only files (MP4s, I think) when Real Play readies them to be converted.

I've tried downloading the proper codecs, as outlines in the FAQs, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

The above file is just an example, this has happened with quite a few other files that I've tried to convert (ones from You Tube work fine, it's when I download files from other sites that RP seems to fail me). RP is also the program that automatically opens & runs the files as well as the program that W7 automatically uses for downloading video clips.

Any suggestions on how to get these files to convert properly?

Thx!

Just use Handbrake to convert it to MP4. I do it all the time for my iPhone.
