Cool F1 Engine Start Up

Awesome

There's one guy standing beside the engine who doesn't even cover his ears! He must have been deafened.

You notice the orange cord dangling from his ears?? They are ear plugs mate.

EDIT: Sorry only saw half the vid before I commented... I'm guessing that other guy has them in too.

huh
the engine nearly blew...does all F1 engiones glow?

damn ... sounded like a mad barking dog, grinning his teeth inbetween his barking

well figure.... 3L V10 made to be as light as possible while still holding together... chances are the glow is normal... hell my headers and turbo glow on the GTX after hard driving... and i saw a vid somewhere of a Subaru rally car where the turbo was so hot the casing was translucent and you could see the impeller spinning on the inside my guess glow == normal

TF

^even on street cars... the glow is normal... if you do a highway run witht the turbo boosting continously... then you stop at the side and quickly open your hood... you can see a red-turbo glowing there... I don't remember Headers glowing though... will have a look at that next time I get a chance

the turbos and the pipes that come out the engine on the right hand side glow
stuff neear the turbo glow basically

Holy flaming testicles! that was awesome!

The glow looked cool. It amazes me how all that piece of metal is able to sustain that much energy. More motivation for me to be an engineer.

   WOW, that's awesome. congrats to JoeBlo1 for posting it.

Yeah think about how hot exhaust gases are. Its very normal. I saw that video too in my engineering materials lectures.

Yeah become one. I'm in my fourth year in mechanical engineering. Lots of fun.

love the sell of napalm in the morning... love the sound of man-made thunder even better. good stuff.

I was accepted into mechanical engineering 2 years ago but my parents forced me into biology/chemistry in univeristy (it's ridiculously boring). Right now I'm trying to get out of my current situation and transfer back into a mechanical engineering program, hopefully I can get in this September.
