I just got back from a fantastic week in Chicago. About 24hours ago, I sat in a Maybach and played around with the toys. I'll post a picture later. It was awesome! The seats were more comfortable than any bed I've tried. It was the 57, but still, pretty amazing. Coolest automotive experince I've had really... (It was at a dealership, my friend knew a guy who worked there so he let us sit inside it.)
 
McLaren Mercedes SLR.

The interior was a bit cheap though, e.g. the inner door-handle was broken off. :shock:

I'm going to Aussie International Motor Show 2morro so maybe i'll sit in something nice! :D i hope BMW unlocks at least one of their cars! :shock:
 
I sat in the SLR at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt.
But since I was there during the press/VIP days all the cars were unlocked, we had free drinks etc. :D

at last April's 2004 NY Autoshow, the SL55 AMG. :D

I made sure i got there early since the previous year i sat in the SL but there was a line so i could not be in it too long. This time me, bro and friend got there early, went straight to Benz and I sat in the SL55 AMG and SL500 but what made it the coolest car i ever been in was not only it was my dream car but I stayed in it as long as i wanted and really drooled and enjoyed just being in it. (run on sent. i know SiR dude :wink: )

The icing on the cake was when before we leave we go back to Benz and I got in the SL. This time there was a short line but by the time I got in there was no one waiting behind me. Having sat in it again AND having the top come down nicely while im sitting in the drivers seat and everyone watching it magically stow away made it the coolest moment/car i ever been in. I got on line with 3 ppl ahead of me and I asked the Benz guy if he could lower the roof. I timed it and made sure i was in it when he did. (he had to go to get the key and he came back when it was my turn to sit in 8) ) It was very very nice to say the least. :D
 
I went to an "introduction day to racing" event at Zandvoort (The Netherlands) once.
I was a passenger in a two seater "Radical" type of car.
The g-forces while going through the Tarzan corner (a hairpin) were fantastic :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: .
Also got a ride as a passenger in a Porsche 944 that day, and I got to drive a formula type car (formula Opel I think).
 
Well, I've sat in a Porsche 911 Turbo (2002 I believe), an RX-8, SL55 AMG and a 2005 Viper.

I'd say the 911 Turbo was the coolest, followed by the RX-8, followed by the Viper (mostly because I got a ride in it around an autocross track with a professional race driver), and then followed by the SL55 AMG in a distant 3rd (sorry Justin :p).
 
hmmm.. i sat in almost all (current) Mercedes except the SLR

the maybach was cool...

sat in an SL600 for a while.. and i sat in just about all the AMG models.. its good to know people at the Benz dealersip :wink:
 
Sat in the Maybach a while back at a car show...it's a big limo...not impressed except for that skylight roof thing that turns clear and smoked really quick, that was cool...
but the coolest car was either the Ferrari F50 or the Koiensegg at the gumball 2003. (also got to chitchat with Maxamillion Cooper in his lambo, and Tony Hawk in his srt-10 viper)
 
Hmm the coolest... probably the DB9 or TVR Sagaris, I would also include the Noble M14 and the Bentley arnage T in my short list, but there are so many to choose.

edit #1 ooh ohh just remembered brabus SV 12 6.3 (based on SL) mmmm....
 
i sat in a mitsu evo III while its driver BOOKED around a 5.6hm rally circuit that he
knew like the back of his hand...(hill 3 is a freakin jump no matter how much they
deny it :wink: )
 
Wow cool. A lot of cool cars you guys have been in. Allthough the SL, CL and S-Class are all dream cars of mine, I do think they are a bit boring. They all look so alike eachother. Here is a short list of the coolest cars I've been in or driven:

SL 55
CL 500
Hummer H1 (Drove it on a beach etc. Played around for about 3 hours)
Honda S2000 (Rented 24hrs.)
Bugatti Race Car from 1927. (The feeling, oh my god. Sat in it)
Porsche 911 Turbo '88 with 450bhp.
BMW M5/M3
MG AMV8 (A guy took me around in it. Emotional.)
 
i would lovea chance to get to sit in a Maybach though... I've been in a Ferrari 456GTA as well as a 355... love the 355, Porsche 911 Turbo, Mitsubishi Evo 6.5, 7 8. Nissan Skylines, Mercedes SL55, BMW 6 Series... biggest POS in the world, Acura NSX... all I can think of now
 
ren.... how'z the G-force when you accelerate in the RX-8... just got a RX-7 for a weekend car and the car is amazing... esp when u accelerate... ur practically stuck to the seat :lol:
