AHHH I HATE THIS!!!

I have a Logitech MX3100 and the keyboard lag is soooo annoying. As I type this post, i can see the words appearing slower than my fingers typing them.

Is there something wrong with the keyboard? is there something I should be doing?

I put the receiver literally 2 inches between the keyboard and mouse. THe mouse is fantastic, almost perfect but the keyboard lags quite a bit, about 30ms.

I also have replaced the batteries on the keyboard, reinstall the drivers/softwares, reconnected the keyboard to the reciever.

HELP?

Is this keyboard new man?

Could it be related to your comp maybe....

Maybe you should open your comp in safe mode and see if it still does it. If it does, it the keyboard for sure. Does your reciever have diffrent channels? Sometimes having other cordless items in the room can interfere (eg: PS2 controller).

Hope you can fix it..try a logitech forum or something..better chance there.

I'll never go wireless. :|

My experience with wireless keyboards/mice is that they always tend to run out of batteries in the worst moment. But it's one cable less on my cluttered table :p

As for AxlxA's problem, if you have tried reinstalling drivers, changing batteries and putting the receiver closer to the keyboard, then maybe the keyboard is faulty. To test things out, try on another computer. If it fails there, then it's most likely some kind of issue with the keyboard.

I have an MX3100 and i have no trouble at all. It is perfect. Just as good, no, better than any wired keyboard i've owned as it's a beautiful design/layout and i can rest it on my lap to play PC games while I still have my steering wheel bolted to the desk. I don't know what your problem is, maybe you have a dud. You've tried all my suggestions. I hope it's under warranty because you really do have a good keyboard and mouse set. Just I'd say it's a lemon.

My keyboard is fairly new, only been in my possession for a month.

flyingfridge, can you take a picture of your computer area so i can see how your reciever is positioned relative to every electronics in your room?

it might not be the keyboard though... it may just be the computer... try plugging in a wired keyboard and see.
Cuz I just installed MS office 12 and it lags for the initial few seconds when I'm on a laptop keyboard

I hope you're kidding me because this is the p4 2.6ghz with 1 gig of ram. And it also is the computer that i just broke and replaced with a sempron 2800+. originally 1.6ghz overclocked to 2.2ghz already and will be going higher.

Anywyas, it is not my computer because when i used to play on wired... it rocked.

Is the combo plugged in via USB or are you using the PS/2 adaptors?
Tried both, same performance, obviously i also have tried "2" computers(2 diff mobo/cpus).
