Covid 19 CRISIS

It's mostly on the states, to be honest. The feds did have a stockpile or some of the supplies that we're currently missing but they were drained during the N1H1 breakout in 2009 and never refilled.
The feds have certain powers that states don’t, like say the DPA. There is also the budget that feds have to buy up stockpiles that states might not. Also don’t forget in a situation like this central leadership is important to direct resources
and ensure uniformity of response.

I’m not making a judgement of which admin failed to replenish stockpiles, just that it happened and is now a big part of the issue.

Today's update: 1031 cases (+128) / 13 deaths (+1)

Huge jump today!

1327 cases (+294) / 14 deaths (+1)

Governor Mike Parsons (appointed after Eric Greitens resigned due to fallout from an affair with his hairstylist the year before the 2016 election) really needs to act. This has gone too far. Kansas is on lockdown with far fewer cases and deaths.

You, me, and @Blind_Io should find this concerning because:

If I'm forced to shave my beard, I'm doing full-on 80s porno stache.
Well, I'm dead. Nice knowing you all.

I don't have any masks anyway, but I'm using my motorcycle neck buff to cover my mouth and nose when I'm out in public. I'm also wearing gloves (the bright orange ones from my garage), and I'm usually wearing a hat and glasses/sun glasses.

As my friend put it when I dropped off his kid's birthday gift and we said hello though the closed window, "You look like every police sketch of a bearded guy".

I blame the hoodie. ?

Not enough!

There is only one answer:

Ok, so this Coronabullshit got Joe Diffie! Now it's personal.

Number of cases in Quebec made a significant jump today, I guess the flattening that started to appear a few days ago was not real :(

I posted about that when it first happened. It will tear through that ship like nothing. There is no place they are not right on top of each other.
It's really dumb for them to keep the sailors on the ship, shoulda taken em off to an on shore quarantine.

HOAs are the worst. They would fine their community for feeding the fire department that saved it.

Not necessarily covid-related though, the screenshot-in-screenshot suggests this was going on for a year.

So just read how Denver had to write tickets out to national retailers GameStop and Hobby Lobby. Two other local businesses were cited as well. However; I find the two national chains most repugnant. How GameStop called itself essential then shut to street traffic but ordered it's employees to stay for delivery...

Hobby Lobby I understand because they have always been out to damage the health of their employees.

If they weren't going bankrupt before they ought to now. How can you say styrofoam balls and funko dolls are worth human lives?

If you remember this goes like the Easter comment. They first said 100,000 then it was 100,000-200,000, yesterday 240,000... Notice how it was 240k that's a bit like a real estate trick because hey 250k sounds like a much bigger number. It's going to creep up from 240k too. My guess is they will give one big estimate to then say hey we did keep it below the estimate so we did a great job.

The way this is going the US will be lucky not to hit 7 figures, never mind staying in the hundreds of thousands. And by that I don't mean infections I mean fatalities.

You're just making that up - there's no data to back that up. Even if there was a model that showed that, there are other models that are far lower than that. Hence why I don't put much trust into any models or estimates.
