Craig(B)'s List - Oddities and Weird Stuff

How about a Cougar station wagon?

What? Ford didn't make Cougar wagons??

Well, for one glorious (?) year (1977) they sort-of-did. In an attempt to recover some interest in the Torino/Montego twins, Ford renamed them "LTD II" and "Cougar". A wagon was part of that duo and the Cougar name got transferred onto the Mercury version. There was the 'base' Cougar wagon and the upmarket 'Villager' with fake wood side panels. The wagon only lasted for one year.

I had forgotten that these things even existed until this showed up for sale a couple of miles from our home:

Yeah, it needs quite a bit of TLC, but just imagine showing up at the Club in such an exclusive motorcar! :p

Oh my god. Craig, DO IT. It'll be like Lucilles little stateside nephew

It's odd what the Fox platform birthed. I have to ask then, what's the price?

Very neat piece there. Today we need more odd cars to squirrel away. Then look back on in 30-40 years and just wonder. Why?

I had a great aunt that had one of those 8-6-4 Caddies.

The guy that had the 122 I went to look at today had several 1800s, 444s and a bunch of other Volvo's. Says he's getting out of working on other people's cars after 30 years and is going to start restoring 444s and 780s.

These are the photos he sent me last week. I'm really tempted to buy this. It's only got one rust hole in the floor and is complete, save the passenger seat and gas tank.

Hope you've got some years and some bucks to do a proper resto on it...

What, you don't think the Renault 4CV collection would be amusing? :p

Bottom of that is going to be orange and be Swiss cheesed.

You missed the part where it says it was from down south.
