Critic pls

First impression? : too much text. The colalge looks nice and I like the general layout though.


Of course this is comming from an American. I don't know what people inthe philippines would think of it... (I am assuming that this is for a local shop to you?)

My first impression is the same. It's nice, but not many people will read all that.
 
I'm getting very consistent feedback from various places. Quick q what is your favorite flavor for a donut? Most people like chocolate, sugar, peanut & cheese.

i'm gonna cut down the text to 1 word in front, 1 big photo of a donut up close & a pic of the shop.

While a list of flavors and a road map at the back,

LASAP is slang for "sarap" the Tagalog/Filipino word for "delicious".

I'm thinking if I should drop the the store hours/url at the bottom and keep it simple. What do you all think?
 
the "always fresh..." italic wavy part is a little hard to read, but it could just be my poor eyesight. I like the latest version of everything else though, maybe the map is a bit cluttered in there though. Actually the previous one was very nice as well. But I've never heard of a cheese donut here :)

The "always fresh" font must've been squished by the compression I used for the jpeg. I didnt want to make heavier than it should be. I tried to figure out a way to put the map. Initially I counter clocked-wised it by 90 degrees and gave it its on slot but the map became barely readable. So I figured make the yellow 50% transparent and slap it on top of the mangoes. I wanted the 9x4" flyer to have the map at the back but the printer was asking 50% more if I did that.

Surprisingly the cheese donut sells well & has consistently been on the top 5. Guess the reason it works is because we have a lot of cheese-based pastries.
 
I find the red white contrast a bit hard on the eyes. Maybe you should blend in a colour inbetween. And the donuts part of the logo shouldn't end at the edge of the flyer. Moving it upwards slightly should do the trick. Same goes for the topknot of Mrs. Donut.

Good thoughts Swek. I agree about the placement and the edges of the ad, but I think the red/white contrast would be better in a magazine than it would on the computer screen. That's my guess anyway ;)
