ussia's Volga has built a customized version of the BMW 6-Series with a completely new exterior. Perhaps even more dramatic than the Fisker Latigo, the Volga V8 Roadster leaves no original external sheetmetal. Previously, the Russian company re-bodied a BMW 8-Series for what it called the V12 Coupe. This new 'roadster' features the standard 6-Series interior, including all four seats.

I see it as an improvement.

Same here. I loved the Volga V12 Coupe, but this one is actually for public consumption I believe. Just wish they'd put on the black wheels from the Coupe on here, but otherwise it's pretty damn badass. 8)

Wow, that looks fantastic! i'd have that over a normal 6-series any day.

i would say that their V12 coupe that they did is about 1000x better.

I must say that's pretty impressive!

every year at the nationals they have kits where you can take a new car and bolt on new panels. I cant make up my mind i like the look but i always come back to the fact that its just the outside and why not the interior. Im sure they could have found a tree and produced a nice dash

I get the feeling that it will grow on me, but so far no one has put a decent set of wheels on it. For that retro look a smaller diameter wheel might be in order.

That looks soooo badass. Do something about the interior maybe, make it more 50s. I wonder what BMW would think of this? :p

Is there any idea of how much it costs?

I take it that it is very expensive. I mean you have to buy a 6 series and then completely rebuild the body of it....which can't be cheap.

decent 6 series: ~80.000?
travel to russia: ~1000? in petrol + 1000? in bribes and 5000? in repairs because some wodka-influenced driver hit you and drove away
rebody the car: ~30.000? + 1000? for a rubbish hotel room with only occasional running water
get your car after the work is done: another 30.000? because they refuse to give it to you and when you refuse to pay they hold a gun to your head and take your wife hostage
get your wife back from ukraine: 100.000?
travel back: another 7000?, and on your way home you notice the radio and some integral parts of the car are missing and you have to buy them back on a flea market in poland - 1000?

256.000? - but its really cool, so it could be worth it

(I am just kidding, and I have some friends from Eastern Europe so don't get all upset)

That's true craftsmanship, the window frame and roof don't fit the looks 100% in my opinion, but with the V12's rims, a nicer interior and different mirrors it would be top!
