Some fucker destroyed the passenger mirror of our Cavalier while I was in possession of it, (parked in an underground carpark)

I had a job interview and then found that...

mother's reaction : it's ok

father's reaction still to come

DAMMIT!

If only I had had the fun of breaking it...

Looks like nothing serious, no scratches on the paint...but it sucks when someone breaks something of you and doesn't leave a note..

Btw. what's that sticker on your mirror?

I like the Please don't sue us sticker in the mirror.
Oh, vandalism sucks of course.

@ Josty & swek: Do you mean the text on the mirror that reads "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"? That's just a warning to remind you that it's a convex mirror and not flat. Most cars I've driven have a convex passenger side mirror and a flat driver side window (although our xA has convex mirrors on both sides). A convex mirror lets you see more, but it does change your depth perception, hence the warning.

well it was worse than that when I found the car (the mirror part was out of the black shell..)

and there is a small scratch on the paint but it's only the clear coat that got peeled out, so we won't have them do that.

So far we're talking $211 + taxes

Here it wouldn't be worth talking with the insurance. You would lose the bonus.

Don't you know of any scrapyards?

143$ for it actually, the rest is installation

and it's the cheapest mirror, it's not electric and doesn't even have the little adjustment from the inside..

Install it yourself. Shouldn't be too bad, I've done door mirrors on my mums saxo before.

But rhink yourself lucky, I wasn't concentrating and chatting to a mate doing a very tight junction the week before last and I bashed the passenger side rear door, ?180 (CD$420/US$340) it's going to cost me, they guy reckons he can just save the door, and it's obnly that cheap because my mum teaches his grandson and it's a cash in hand job.

I think it's actually more expensive than one of an Audi A4, a friend of mine had to replace. :?

200 bux? i'd actually laugh at u if your insurance doesn't cover it and you pay that amount yourself

I'm laughing at you because you obviously don't know jack shit about insurances
