Love that second pic (not that the other two aren't damn good) - very nice work.

can you post a link to the pics with the rigs every time too? I'd love to see how you mounted it to the car. :)

Those picks look GREAT!!!

I would love to know where you got the suction cups and stuff to make the rig. I have asked many photographers and no one wants to tell me much about rigs for some reason. They are all really scertive about their rigs.

If you could give me some info on where to get stuff for a rig and how you made yours that would be awesome.

Ok just finished the latest one. This one has been photoshopped a lot better, coz I realised my mistakes from the last one:

I dont want to be "that person" who scrutinizes the little things, but you can see the shadow of the rig in the lower right corner. :)

Otherwise, WOW!!

Dammit! Surprised I didnt see that lol! I spent to long looking at the less obvious things I completely missed that!
Thanks m8! :D

I dont really mind telling people about the rig Ive got now, as its just a kit I bought, and anyone cando that as long they know what it is. But if I customise it, then I would be reluctant to show it.
Ive asked loads of pro photographers how they do it, and trying to get a straight answer is like getting blood from a stone!

Mine is the Pro suction mount (SM3) on here:

Great photographs! Look forward to seeing more!

Dan, do you do remote shots with an IR remote, or do you set it to timer then set off?

Also, how easy is it to photoshop out the rig but keep a realistic looking shot? I assume you've played with it a bit... :) I'm also guessing this is somewhat harder when the motion isn't blurred as in these shots?

Cheers,

Max

And i bought the SM2, which is actually called a Cullman 1003. I'll be using it mounted to the outside for photos (only stupid thing is i can't have a remote, so it'll have to be near the window, so i can use the 10 second timer) and inside videos. My gf and i are driving to italy and we want to make a road video. :)

If only you could make that photoshopping job work easily with video, then you could make the best real life GTA

Seriously though, amazing pics. And nice car too.

To put Speedtouch on numberplates for signatures and for other forums, I use www.myshowplates.com

You get round the not accepting too many characters by just un-clicking, then re-clicking the 'with front/rear plate'

NB: This doesn't work on Firefox. Only on Internet Explorer. Great site though.

I just got mine!

I'll be testing it as soon as my battery charges. I wish i could use it for photography as well, but i don't have a remote. Can't get one for this cam at all. :(

Cool! I would recommend driving about with something of a similar weight, just to test it out. Don't thrash it about at first, start to build up some confidence.
I've thought of some changes to mine, but need the materials first. Gonna wait for summer holidays :)

Great stuff you have there Shadowness :)

I don't understant what is so misterious about those rigs, that no one wants to talk about them? :D

When I saw your pics I started to want one to (the rig I mean), and I think I'll get one in the near future. :D

Mainly because some of the pros spend A LOT of money and effort designing and building them. Using materials such as aircraft grade aluminium, CNC machined joints etc. And when you think that rig may take a shot that pays your bills, your gonna be pretty protective over it.
