Movie: Deadpool

I hope there will be a cinema around here which shows this in english, otherwise I'd be pissed - well, there was one cinema which aired Star Wars in english, but all three airings were on Sunday at 22:45h or 23:15h so there's not much hope for Deadpool... :(

Also, I just noticed it has Gina Carano!

I saw it Thursday night and I enjoyed it very much. I feel like the trailers overhyped it a bit but it was still a very good Deadpool movie. I felt the flashback about meeting the girl and the flashback about getting his abilities was a little long though.

I did read an article about how they basically had to cut 9 pages out of the 110 page script at the last minute due to a budget cut and I thought how they did it was pretty fun.

My favorite cut was a big gunfight near the end of the movie. They cut it by making Deadpool forget his guns in the Taxi.

At my showing, the theater started the movie 30min late and skipped the previews and such. They gave everyone a free movie pass so maybe I'll use it to go see it again. I'm very excited for it to come out on Bluray and for Deadpool 2.

I absolutely LOVED it.
Surprisingly, my wife too. Most fun I had in the movie theater this year and I plan on seeing it again.
Can't wait for the second movie.

CABLE!!!!!

First movie in AGES that I actually laughed out loud at! LOVed it

The wife and I went and saw it and loved it.

One question I do have. I don't read comic books and my understanding of the characters is second hand. If the X-Men and regular Marvel universes are separate then how come the end fight took place on a crashed helicarrier?

The universes are only separate in the movies due to Fox having the rights to the X-Men (which includes Deadpool) but not the rest of the MCU. In the comics, they regularly cross over. In the comic im reading right now, Deadpool, Wolverine and Captain America are fighting together.

As for why the last fight in the movie is on a crashed helicarrier, maybe its Fox's way of trying to interconnect the movies universes.

Well, it's not a SHIELD's helicarrier if you not name it like that, right? ;) Just like Hydra agent Bob showing up in a movie made by folks with no rights about Hydra at all. ;)
