Deciding between a D50 DSLR or a Fujifilm FinePix S9500

Dear lord, I thought it would cost less. But it is not the price range I was looking at.

The E330 also has that feature, and it's also a very capable camera!

However, be warned that the dust-shaking feature does NOT mean you won't have to clean your sensor. It shakes off the dust, which lays around in the camera body, waiting to be sucked back into the sensor the next time it energizes.

BTW, cleaning a sensor is actually quite easy. Grab some Sensor Swabs ($5) and Eclipse fluid ($15) and you're good to go for cleaning your sensor. The bottle of fluid will last dozens and dozens of cleanings.

But DSLR's can suffer from getting too must dust on the CCD, if I wait next year i could get a DSLR's with those motors which shake dust of better. At maybe D50 price.

Anti dust system reduce the precision of your CCD if it was a good solution Nikon and Canon offer it today at least for pro-model...

but like they say in the future compacts will be designed in the future to replace cameras with interchangeable lens.

SLR pics had nothing in common in term of quality, nothing! Autofocus, CCD,... all is so much better!

Shooting with a Slr is nothing comparable with a S9500

So now if you prefer a marketing 9Mpix camera go on! Shooting 9Mpix blur pics it's your choice, this section is full of guys who know what is shooting and everyone tell you to take a Slr...

So please stop to argue, buy a Slr or wait to get the money for, shooting with anythink else is, as say someone before on this thread, just for "quick snap for ideas"... But perhaps it's what you want to do?

hm? e-500 is slightly cheaper than a d50 and both a lot cheaper than the 350 here in germany.

thats rubbish. nikon and canon (especially canon) just rely more on their advertisement than on features. if the equation was that simple, then canon had to do a lot of things different!
also bear in mind that olympus has the patent for their anti dust system and its not that easy to create another one that works in a different way...

sorry, but that is rubbish again. the 9500 is a very capable camera. the point is that its advideable to get a dslr right away, if you plan on getting one anyway. if there is one thing that really sets the entry level dslrs apart from those prosumer cams than its the ability to exchange lenses. the rest is more or less on par...the lense could even be a little better than the eos' kit lense...

Wierd, the E-500 one-lens kit is around $150 more than a D50 kit here.

It's perhaps the best of it's class as the reviews seems to say, but it's not a Slr, it just can be compare with the entry level...
