Demos are just too big for me nowadays, this one will easily take about 7hrs+ to get...

-------------------------

Codemasters has released a new playable demo (~ 555MB) of ToCA Race Driver 3, allowing you to try out their modern racing simulation sequel.

This V8 Supercars 3 demo contains the Phillip Island GP Circuit for V8 Supercars, the Hockenheim GP Circuit for DTM touring cars, and the National Dirt Raceway Stage 5 track for Baja Motocross buggies.

Mirrors:

Oh what the hell. *downloads*

Its quite good, but somehow some of the textures seems pretty beta... Like the rims on the C-class DTM car...

And too bad the ProSim mode isn't availible on the Demo... There are enough arcade racers out there...

So it did for me, #2 works perfectly...

I played the Honda Civic demo and really liked it. I'll get this one too.

Now, should I get a driving wheel or a wired 360 controller?

I don't know about the wheel. I played the last V8 game on the PS2 with the wheel and it just had a weird feel to it...nothing like GT4.

Thats said, I could never go back to the controller after using a DFP.

Well this is for my PC, I have the option of either getting a wheel for my PC, or getting a wired xbox360 controller for the PC. I can't make a decision on which would be a better choice.

I've had a MOMO and a standard Xbox controller for PC, and I prefer the Xbox controller personally.

Hmm thanks for the opinion Jeffy, I am also leaning towards the controller for its versatility. I am mainly looking at these two pheripherals (spelt wrong, I know) so I can get some more out of my PC while I wait till I can get the 360 in 6 months or so.

Especially since I will getting all these racing games (NFSMW, TOCA 3, etc), a keyboard isn't exactly the best way to control a car in game.

im a n00b to racing sims, so im just wondering how realistic is this game compared to other sims?

Well, I'd say that LFS ist way more realistic... I mean handlingwise... The damage in TOCA3 is awesome...

Nobody knows right now, how its gonna be in the ProSim Mode, since it isn't availible in the Demo. My guess (I've been wrong a lot, though): Not that bad, but still rather fun oriented...
