Long update...

I sat on the car for a while after I got it running with the original motor because it decided to self destruct and drop a valve. I was busy finishing my bsme and the car was at my parents home. In the process I built a head with back cut valves, 5 angle job, and ported to hell. I also ported my intake manifold to match the head. The bottom end has Nismo .020" over Frontier pistons, new stock rods, balanced rotating assembly, new bearings, ect. It never really ran right so again, it sat.

I then decided to redo the intake because of all the plugged lines from removing emissions. Turns out, there was a small piece of leftover gasket on the throttle body mounting causing a huge vacuum leak. Got it back together recently, bought some wheels pretty much just for the tires, and got plates for the first time I owned it, first time it had plates since 2001. Surprisingly after flushing fluids the car has help up very well, only issues were a rusted fuel line return and blown rear struts. Decided to fix the struts and lower the car last night by throwing on some coilovers. Next up is rear upper control arms and an alignment, pignose lip, q45 front brakes, new brakes in back, and a thorough interior cleaning.

Besides engine mods listed earlier, the car has:

Aluminum crank pulley, no dampener
No egr, aiv, secondary butterflies, charcoal canister, converter
Optima Red Top
Electric fan with thermostatic control
s14 leather seats
Megan Street coilovers
Full length header, test pipe, ebay exhaust
Jvc radio, Pioneer fronts, Memphis rears
New water pump, oil pump, fuel pump, alternator, z32 fuel filter
New stock clutch, master, and slave

I hit 500 miles on the rebuild on my way home from work today! Not a single issue since the replaced fuel line, also no real updates. I lowered the front more to level it out with the rear.

I decided to run the Olds beater at the track on Saturday and I blew a brake line staging the thing haha. I replaced both rear lines and seems to be a great car. Nothing like having a comfortable car with ac and a great stereo to fall back on when you don't feel like driving the stiff, low, loud modified car.
 
So bought a spare motor to rape some parts from and a good transmission. I'm rebuilding the head because mine has a dead valve on cylinder 1 exhaust and I gasket matched the exhaust side.

My trans is junk so after the head goes on, I will be going a "white bunny' clutch setup which uses an RB flywheel with a 350z clutch.

I also purchased a set of 300zx turbo brakes for the front. They are 4 piston calipers and use 11 inch rotors.

I get to use my uncles garage for the build too, which is nice to have the free s

Turns out the cam journals are wasted, not a valve. Got the head off yesterday in preparation of receiving my valve stem seals today. Tomorrow after work, I'll be tossing the new head and cam on.

I also helped my buddy make this death trap. Its a 80 cc motor on a Schwinn chopper looking thing. All it needs is a longer chain, chain tensioner to clear the frame, and foot pegs, which should get finished after my car tomorrow. The whole kit was only $160 on eBay and the bike was a $20 dollar score on Craigslist. It will make an awesome pit bike for sure.

So, huge pic dump.

I ended up spinning a bearing on the newish motor. It doesn't surprise me because when I was young and dumb, I ran the car out of oil because of a huge leak at the filter around 4 years ago. So I decided to go all out and build a forged bottom end with a Holset HX35 running Megasquirt. Motor is in the car with the new transmission running real strong, collecting turbo parts now. Shooting for a minimum of 350 whp and 12.5s or better at the track
