I heard it in an TopGear episode, new EVO with 400bhp!!! It was funny how they were laughing about how big the turbo was going to be on that thing!!!

Yup, and the new WRX is supposed be 400 bhp too.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned yet, but your sig is a little tall. Forum rules are 200px x 600 px.

And if I want 400HP in a car, it will come in the form of a Ferrari, Aston, Porsche, or Lamborghini.....not a rally-road car.

It's also part of the never-ending battle of Mitsu and Subaru :) Although with those limited production numbers, I doubt we will see here in the states.

BTW Sir_Dude, I had a 2000 Si and loved it, it was my first modified car ;)

oh sorry i'll edit it and tell me if its ok or not

But imagine all the money you save by getting a super rally-road car  And it should handle well also (don't forget 3.5 secs to 60...an enzo takes the same ammount of time :p )

Gotta be cropped just a little bit more, and it's 175 Pixels max, now...Viper changed it.

damn, ok am on it

And I also remember that you need to get the FQ400 serviced like every 2000 miles or so. I mean, 400bhp in a bloody 4-banger. That's insanity. Great engineering but insanity....

According to the English magazine Evo, performance claims are honest since they achieved a 3.99s time on the 0-60... In the wet. However, they also reckon that on sheer efficiency, the FQ320 might still have the edge because the engine was less peaky.

Bah, we don't even have the FQ320 here in France... In fact the Evo 8 is the _first_ Evo ever to be commercialized here :|

oh dear god...400 horsepower from a 2 liter engine! think what a 5 liter engine would be

From a 2 liter _turbocharged_ engine. Big, huge, fat, makes-it difference. The sole reason why WRC don't achieve more than ~300 bhp is the restricted size of the intake manifold, but in rallycross, similarly sized engines put out up to 700 bhp.

Logo : thanks for changing the sig.

Pow3r: SOrry, and no offense to all those who own/admire Evo's or WRX's, but I just am not into the whole rally thing. I just can't bring myself to want one of those cars. For the 40k (I think that's what they run CDN?) I'd much rather have a slightly used S2000.

I'm not dissing the fact that they are blisteringly fast, might handle great, etc. etc, it's just not my taste in cars. And I have a hard time understanding why anyone would want 400 hp from one....that's insane. Talk about 4-wheel burnouts without needing the e-brake!!

You like what you like: no point in trying to force yourself to like something that you don't.

Believe me, to me it has been very easy to get used to power (and wanting more :) ).
Usually no more that a couple of weeks and I've gotten used to it.

a 4-wheel burnout is physically impossible ;)

and i totally understand what everyone sees in these cars, if they were affordable over here, i'd buy one right ahead. i'm not all that concerned about the power, but you get the handling, and still have a descent car. you have back seats, a trunk, 4 doors, pretty much ground clearance. and for half the money of a supercar, you get the torque/handling, while a supercar is acutally useless, caus basicaly it's a chair with wheels.
400bhp is maybe a little much, i'd be happy with 250 (and would take the lancer over the WRX, looks so much better imo)

same with the M3, lotus omega, cossworth escort, ... normal cars with good power/handling, i take them over a supercar anyday :)

I don't like these cars (evo, impreza). I think they're vulgar and when you drive it people think you dont care about anything. Er hard to explain.

I prefer more sophistication for a similiar price.
