Diecast Models

Nice car :) What brand is it? Good interior shot there. Everything looks great except for that dash...
I think 1:43 is for kids. 1:18 is for the men. (i bet i'm gonna hear some flaming from this).
Hahaha LOL i'm with ya on that one

By Minichamps. Silver Coupe.

$45 dollars on Ebay. Dash quality is never good with ANY manufacturer with the exception of that CMC version of the Mercedes Benz SLR. That car goes for $200.

I think the M3 GTR street esteroil blue i have also has a similar interior and it's also by minichamps. i'd have to take it out one day to check.

I didn't want ot take the pictures on my dinner table but i have no good place to make it look like a real scene.

Next on the agenda: possibly M5 or the 330i(E90)

Congrats AxlxA, I bought that Aston last week:

Axl,
come here and let me beat your ass :bangin: :bangin: :bangin:

1/18 for men and 1/43 for kids.

1/18 for people with little collection and much space, 1/43 for the big collection, best variety, getting the nicest women and taking less space.

Sl65:
I have a bout 200 models and I think I showed them here...
okay here you see them again:

I?ll make a picture of my whole Lambocollection pretty soon. :D

I was just j/k bout the 1:43 comment Faultier but the main reason why I like 1:18 more is you can appreciate every model more rather than have many models that go un-noticed lying there at the back. With 1:18, there usually isnt space for anything behind it so each model gets equal attension. Also, if someone has keen interest in one model, they can take it out and look inside and pop the hood. Plus 1:43 are a bit pricey for the size.

the price is hust right and I also take one model out and have a look at it. Recently it was my Jag XJS or my Maserati Bora :woot:

as you can see, no model stands behind the other ;)

pricey:

1/18 cost about 50-70EUR
1/43 cost about 25-30EUR

I think thats just right

again, if i can spend $130 USD on the M3 GTR street limited edition, then i guess 1:18 that are 50 dollars are all worth it.

PS. There is no better place to buy models than EBAY. Free tax, crazy shipping, decent price, anonomous sellers.. wow!

heres a model of Porsche 934 engine I have. (I know it's not diecast but Ithought you guys would like it)

It's actually part of a 934 car model but I don't have all the parts to make the full car. so Ijust made the engine, and what a beauty it is

I always wonder hundred piece models are made, you got any links w/ some kits?

do you mean how they are made like in a factory. or how they look when they are done, or you want to build one.

in any case, I found the best models are made by Tamiya http://www.tamiya.com however some of them are expensive but it shows in the detail and how every model is officialy liscensed by the car company and tamiya gets blueprints sothey can make exactly scale replica

The model that this engine is from is a tamiya 1/12 Porsche 934. It is about 15-20 years old and Igot it from my grandpa who never started it when he bought it. IT sucks because Iam missing the whole chassis piece which basically holds the whole model together. They are so rare now that they sell on ebay for about $140 so buying another one is not an option for me.

heres how the model should look if i had the parts

1/12
hardly no variety and expensive and takes too much space :p

I did something today....don't even want to open the box right now. Cost too much ;)

If anybody can guess then you are the man.

Some hints;
1/18
Exklusive Modelle
and it is silver ;)

You have a cool collection, but you ain't getting no women because of that, especially not the nicest women.

I always see some mean looking toys, but I can't see myself dropping that much money on them. Maybe later on when I have a better source of income.

I say it's a CMC SLR

I finally got it :D
the Peugeot 205 GTI 1,9 by Solido and yeah, Faultier, this one is in 1/18 scale :p :D by Solido:

the quality isn't as good as I tough, but still, I find it nice.

Trasher, this 935 is really awesome but at this size it starts to be really expensive  , I got this 935 in stock version but in 1/24 scale
bu, it's a Revell model kit, not as good as Tamiya's...

I have some tamiya's too, but I need to clean those before taking pics
will do it this week end.

I'm quite happy that this thread goes on and that everyone shares their die cast models...

maybe a silver SLR....

Its your decision. Nobody forces your to buy scale 1/43. You can?t help people who don?t want to have happyness.

Now skip that scale-shit.

As long as you are happy buying model, neither the price nor the scale does matter
