Different versions of each episode?

I've just watched episode 3 in season 2. According to the Episode overview (exel-sheet), right after the news Clarkson should present the Mustang, but he don't. I've watched every episode in season two, and I can't find the episode with the (greatest car in the world award) Mclaren, e-type, fiat 500 or mustang.

Where the mustang is supposed to be, May is just chatting with Hammond on some insider trading. Is there different versions of each episode? All the episodes have the correct length, according to the overview.

Magnus download my guide (Excel).. And then match with the ESPNSTI guide.. I think that us have diferent ep..

One is i BBC PRIME, other is hmmm (I don't know realy)! :?

Actually, i've downloaded various versions of the episodes and i never managed to come across those features. I myself have already posted about this. All i've managed to find were individual clips of some those features, never the episodes.

The version you have is the BBC Prime one, those have the phone-in stuff removed, like the greatest car, so if you want to see it you have to get the original version.

Where can we get those originals?

^ I have them, but I'm on a crappy connection, but I think I uploaded some a while back, try and search for my name in the offers/requests or check the ftp's.

^^^ Will do! Thanks a lot

This isn't about the restoration rip off. It's about the greatest car in the world award!

For me is good BBC PRIME.. First I was be mad because I don't have org. version but now... I enjoy..

^ Yes of season 1 and 2 but only the first from season 3 ;)

I picked whatever I thought was closest to how it originally aired when I made the guide, which meant sometimes a JW version, and in some (rare) cases the BBC Prime version.

- The JW version I have is I believe how it originally aired and has the Greatest Car segment in it.
- The BBC Prime (350MB) version that I have is 10 minutes shorter than the ~60 minutes air time of an originally aired episode, and it does NOT have the Greatest Car segment in it.

This would be the JW version then right?

Is that really worth another 350mb of traffic? :) 2 minutes of restoration rip off?

What does Restoration Rip Off mean by the way? From what I know about English, a rip off means you pay too much for something that isn't worth it, isn't it? :?
The JW rips are something less than 350MB but still, I question if its worth the extra traffic..

Yup, I think they all are, not sure though, but not BBC Prime.
I tried to upload them to the ftp, but lost connection a couple of times.

They are between 120 and 155 megabytes, most around 150.

If one has nothing better to use their connection for they could be worth downloading, but there's still very little extra to be had.

Correct - that's exactly what a rip off is, so they're taking the p#ss out of themselves and the car being restored by calling it a rip off - i.e it's going to end up costing more than it's worth.

No, it was called Restoration Rip-off because the whole idea was a rip-off of the show "Restoration", which was the same sort of thing but involving houses instead of cars. That's what Jeremy said when they announced it, anyway.

The way I understood it, being american an all, is that they were ripping off another show. I can't remember exactly but the idea of restoring the cars was stolen from another show that restored something else...refurbishing a house or something like that.

Think of it this way....Discovery channel is making a copy of Top Gear "UK" by creating a new version called...Top Gear "USA" As most people on this forum believe...a total Rip-Off of the original.
