It is FBIs newly established art-crime division who has made this list over stolen art pieces.

If you guys are interested in art, you have probably heard of Edvard Munch. Two of his most famous paintings were stolen from the Munch museum in Oslo, Sunday the 22. of August.

The FBI estimate the art pieces on the list make up around $600.000
How much of that are these two pieces I dunno ..

only 600,000? the scream should make tons more than that.

there isn't "the scream"

there are several, he made that painting more than 10 times, so that brings the price down a bit

It is part of a series, but I don't recall ever hearing that he made more than one version of the actual "The Scream" :?

well, the one exhibited at the Munch Museum is the most valuable one, and the one missing. And yea, it should be valued at more than 600.000 alone I agree. It's hard to set a price on such a thing, especially since it will never be sold anywho ... (or maybe now to some crimninal which can exhibit his stolen masterpice at Hitlers old Eagles Nest or sth...)

Btw, it's "Scream", not "the" ... Translated from "Skrik". If it was "The Scream", the original norwegian title must be "Skriket"

Did any of you even know they were stolen??? I wonder if this is news abroad ..

yeah, they showed in on the news

(that's how i know there were more than one 'screams', i'm not that much into art at all)

oh, ok. But you DID know who Munch was, or? (I'm trying to save your arse here ;))

It was pretty big news here in Australia... I knew who Munch was but I guess not many ppl would although, alot of people know "Scream", just the look on the face and texture of the painting and what not make it awesome.

So, FBI top 10 then hey? this'll bump the price up even more!

Hasn't this already been solved?

I watched a documentary on the investigation and how they got the paintings back.

Or did they get stolen AGAIN (if so, somebody is getting fired).....or am I just imagining this documentary? :?

On The Simpsons this weekend, Dolph (one of Nelson's buddies) pulled out "The Scream" and bragged about how he stole it. I didn't get the joke at the time. :p

somebody did steal Scream once, now again with Madonna ...

It's obviously heavy org. crime behind this.

They don't expect the paintings to appear ever again, if they were to appear they are damaged as investegation has proven ..
