Do you have a name for your car?

My car doesn't have a name and I'm not very keen to give one to it... but I have to admit I am rather attached to it. It does annoy me from time to time, but... hey... we're all only human right? ... right? :dunno:

Never going to name a car. Just seems so...cheesy. The old one was my Civic, the current one is my Escort, and the next one will be my [insert the name here when I actually buy somethng]. That is how it should be.

No, not mine.

However, someone I went to school with called their old grey Mitsubishi Magna wagon 'Slugworth', which I think was one of the names of the evil rival candy makers in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. It was one of those early 90's ones (TR series, AFAIK) with the awful 4cyl Astron engine and auto trans. It was worthy of the name.

I had the misfortune of taking one for a test drive. What a colossal joke it was... it was just that bad.

I call my Legacy the "Mach 5" and now everyone that knows me does too.

Sarcasm? Sure. Awesome? Definitely.

My Civic doesn't have a name yet, but I get the feeling that it might name itself this year (but the transmission is named "Fucker" because it's sometimes rather finicky about getting into gear).

My bike is named Vikkie.

The Pontiac is usually called "Tulitirpa" which means firebird in finnish, the other calling names for it are "ponzo" or "ponu" (=shortened from pontikka) which means moonshine in finnish :D Both are taken and modded from "Pontiac".

Also, some people like to call it KITT or wannabe ferrari :D

I don't really have names for my cars but they do kind of have some nickname(s) mostly used by the kids.

Fast Car, Race Car, Family Truckster, Ghetto Cruiser (wife doesn't like that one but it seems to be sticking)... there's others.

Naming your car (or other things for that matter) is pretty gay, so no.
I refer to it as the Audi.

My GTI does't have a name but the traction control is named "Evelyn". Which I think is fitting for the traction nanny. Plus her initials are on the button, it says "ESP"

I like this one. :D

My Nissan was simply "s?x?", or "essex". The grand's worth of Beamer was Bravia. The Audi 100 was "l?tk?" or "maudi". And the 535 was .. well it didn't really have a name, but I called it beamer or Moses.

I think cars should have names, or at least some sorta nicknames. Kind of gives them character. Just like when us Finns do our military service. You gotta name your weapon. I mean, it's gonna save your life eventually, a name is the least it deserves.

Right now it's "thirsty kitty" when I'm feeling generous, "thirsty fucker" when I'm feeling ripped off at the pump.

How about "Riesa", by the way?

For you non-Finns, the chatter is of course about cunningly switching around the word Sierra to become Riesa, which in Finnish means .. burden. :D

I used to have a girlfriend called Kirsi. But she became known to my friends as Kriisi, because that's what she was always having. Some sort of bloody crisis.

Okay, phew! One road trip down and I've still got my sanity. No name for my car. Then again, I haven't spent much time with it alone yet... uhoh! :?

I have a few names for my cars.

A friend of mine referred to the Merkur as the "blitzkrieg", haha, and the name sort of stuck. So I usually call it the "blitzkrieg" or the "blitzkrieg-mobile".

My brother semi named the mustang "Patton" and sometimes I refer to it that way. Doesn't quite fit so I'll probably rename it when something fitting comes up.

No name for the Integra yet.

I have a name for my car, I call it "piece of shit"
