An 'N' license in British Columbia basically means you are a 'new driver' which really doesn't change or mean anything. You just have to have a big ugly green 'N' sticker in your window when you are driving - yet most young drivers just don't bother putting it up - and getting a full license just means you don't have to have the stupid 'N' anymore. It's a system unique to British Columbia, and it's a really stupid system. :?
The only restrictions on an N license in British Columbia are that you must have a 0 blood-alcohol rating whenever you are driving (so absolutely no drinking at all), and you have to have the big green 'N' on the back of your car. You have a lot less points on your license than a full license too, so you can lose your license just from having a few tickets (for those non-Canadians, our licenses have points, every ticket costs points - when they run out, you lose your license).Phix said:But in B.C. you don't have to have anybody with you when you have an N license?!
