What if you're joining a crowd in being awesome? :D The original (NA) looks good and I love pop-ups but the NB is an improvement over it. Stiffer, much better interior, moar power, yet barely heavier and still offers the same driving experience. Like I said, I love both but I also drove both and liked the NB more. Simple as that.

Its actually not BRG but Emerald Mica. BRG was only available in 1991, 1994, and 2001. The difference between Emerald Mica and BRG is barely noticeable - the Mica is slightly darker. Honestly, everyone that sees the car things its BRG. But that's fine with me :p
For this season I'm keeping the stock 14s and just putting good tires on it. I'm not quite ready to go up to tires wide enough to warrant new rims.

You might want to add installing a 01+ header on your list of things to do, the header found on the original NB's is a pretty bad and heavy thing and the 01+ is a much better design.

Its a 99 with just under 90k on the clock. Engine will most likely remain stock but we'll see.


I did indeed find the old owner on miata.net! Haven't talked to him much so far (PMs take a while) but I've confirmed that its him.

Noo, not another one!

Quiky got an old Buick horn to replace the one on his Mazda 3, and that apparently is pretty loud (Punisher_Bass has advice on these). I picked up an upgrade made by Fiamm from a local junkyard, and it's pretty loud and not-girly too.

:lol: One of my other TG-watching friends suggested that I do the exact same; unfortunately the Mercedes used parts dealers know what they have, and those things are expensive.

Get a Train Horn and mount an air compressor in the trunk. It's an elemental sports car, you won't need luggage space anyway. :D
